There is some talent on this roster compared to his previous years. Not having Thomas hurts, but I like the way King plays. LSU makes free throws some on here think Mac is the goat this morning. I do agree something needs to happen with Men's basketball. Question is, who would want to come in here? People keep saying Wade, I think we burned every bridge with him

This is absolutely his best team. Which other team had a PG anywhere near DJ? And if Reed doesn't get injured I believe they make some serious noise in theSEC.And he hasn't had the financial support that other successful schools have had in the SEC and he has had some bad luck with injuries but bottom line is he still needed to make the tournament this year. And he should have beaten SC and KY. There are no excuses for those losses. So short of DJ coming back and them going on some miracle run they probably don't make the tournament and he gets fired. As far as Wade, I just don't see him leaving NCST however he does have the recruiting relationships in LA and he did love coaching at LSU. If they can get him I'm good with that. No doubt the excitement would be off the charts like with Kiffen.

Thomas out and then our only other player with talent, Nwoko, goes on a milk carton versus Kentucky… That left absolutely nobody with a clue at this level. This Kentucky team is not a good one.

The transfers this year would completely change the course for LSU. Just look at Tiger Rant posters during the signing/portal windows. Anyone who questioned the SEC talent level of the signees was down voted in mass!! So we will continue the cycle of embarrassing losses to continue until the next signing periods. Then we will begin the embarrassing cycle all over again!
If we do not hire a real SEC capable coach, then just relegate LSU MBB to being automatic wins for other SEC teams and give all the NIL funds to other competitive LSU programs.
Don’t fund mules trying to compete with racehorses.

Let’s begin an earnest rebuild of the MBB team now, if the athletic administration and fans wish.
Dismiss the men’s incompetent coach now. Begin recruiting a MBB coach that has enthusiasm, energy, high BB IQ, advocate of player discipline, and an unfailing commitment to LSU!
If we are not willing to make the change, then we should commit to the previous commitment
