I think it would be cool too, but as a white out. Everyone wear white, and the football team break out the white jersey, pants, helmets, and black cleats.

FWIW: a Bammer and I were discussing the Penn State White Out and he said that although the white out is impressive, the contrasting Purple and Gold in Tiger Stadium on TV and in HD is Bad Azz!
LSU is Sprinkles, always has been, always will be.

YES!!! I think it is a way to show our players just how much we support them!!! But, we still can't get it right YEah, they shouldn't rely on us to pump them up, but why the hell do you think they turn to us before or after a big play and start lifting their hands trying to get us to scream LOUDER?!?!?!
I'm pretty sure that I can get louder regardless of what color shirt I have on.

I'd say Bama was Pretty Intimidated by the Blackout!!

I'm not supporting if i'm there and not wearing the right shirt?

Our colors are purple, gold and white. My white Sugar Bowl t shirt from the 2001 season is my good luck shirt. I usually have it on underneath when I get to the purple long sleeve stuff in November.
I guess I don't mind standing apart from the crowd as long as I am wearing LSU colors. We are not Nebraska (people think their crowd looks good because they all wear red). We are LSU (we are known for things like gumbo, letting the good times roll and diversity). Shaq (a seven foot plus rapper/actor/basketball star) is our most recognized alumni not Tom Osborne (a conservative republican politican). Wear whatever LSU you clothes you feel best in and yell your head off.
Geaux Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so paying ridiculous amounts of money for season tickets just to be able to show up and watch them play in person doesn't show them that we support them? Now we have to dress the same too?

this gold out/white out/purple out crap is a joke. Who Freaking cares unless it makes peeps cheer and stay in the stadium. And it does not do that. Just another way to sell merchandise so I will pass on this fake "group think" bs. Thank you for taking the time to listen

So critical.
Ha! I like the stadium to look like confetti. More important is the noise the crowd makes. I'd trade a screaming fan in purple over a quiet fan in gold any day.

i like the different colors personally. Our colors are purple AND Gold
its for one frickin game..come on show some spirit and support. wear gold and don't leave early and it might have helped us land some big recruits that were at the game.
btw..if you really think your "lucky shirt" really decides the outcome you need to grow up

I'd venture to question the commitment of a recruit, who would base his decision on this.
I don't think any do, by the way.

I wore gold to the game and discovered that I am just naturally calmer with the gold shirt on. It is like a crowd sedative. Stick with the purple or white shirts. Gold is a crowd noise killer.

If you think everyone wearing the same color does then you need to do the same.

You know what might work - it might be hard to do - but have one section in gold the next one in purple and so forth

come on dude..im not saying thats a major factor
i'm saying its the gameday experience and feeling you get from the atmosphere and crowd..leaving early and not being able to be successful in something simple like a gold out hurts. UGA, penn state and even Hawaii had no trouble with this simple task.

The LSU fans simply do not care anymore. The lack of passion I once saw here is subsiding.
Tiger Stadium is no longer rocking, folks are leaving in the 3rd quarter for an SEC team and half time for a week OOC.
We even have ushers telling people to sit down and be quiet.
I personally love seeing the passion involved in 106K Penn State white out. Their student section is the best in the entire country by miles.

Personally, I saw alot of gold, but not enough. I saw a ton of people wearing purple, white, etc.
I wasn't at the game so I can't really say but from watching the game on TV the stadium looked almost solid gold...just saying...

FWIW, the people who don't follow a silly fad are NOT the ones leaving early.
