Fair point, we've had a pretty rough go with Republican governors in my lifetime. Treen was not exactly beloved either. Mike Foster was the only I can remember who had some level of positive popularity and he was a lifelong democrat and an Edwin Edwards man before he changed parties to better his chances of winning the seat.
