of course he wasn't going to average 20+ like he did last year.
but i think his falloff and overall disappointing performances as a player are indicative of coaching. his biggest strength as a player is his shooting, yet we don't put him in positions to get easy catch and shoots. it's mind numbing. we give him no help when he gets blitzed or doubled and he's just left on an island to get a turnover over and over and over again.
going from the ovc to the sec doesn't make you lose your ability to shoot.
our coaches don't help him out.

Good to see McMahon rounding in to non conference form. Play well in the first jump in competition…get progressively worse as the non-conference schedule goes along

Nah, we’ve had some stretches but haven’t been consistent at all. When we do and can run we’re good, we just don’t do it enough.

To be fair, his team don’t do anything consistently well. They end up pretty balanced being equally below average on offense and defense. It’s a bit of a mystery why though with the passion and energy exploding from sideline. McMahon makes Johnny Jones and Trent Johnson look like Bruce Pearl.

I've been most disappointed in Cam Carter. He is silent most of the game and doesn't pass or defend particularly well. We need Mike Williams to play into form.
