He is equal to Jordan Jefferson in that he isn't educated enough to know the playbook or read the playbook.

What are you talking about? Just answer the question. Do you think Harris and this team is prepared to play each game with the right scheme?

Harris is much improved over last year and I fully expect him to be even better next year. I do agree he tries to guide the ball too much on short passes which causes him to loose accuracy and touch. The arm talent is definitely there.

His season stats are:

103 - 184 for 1501 yards and 11 TD with only 2 INT

How many of you would have been thrilled before the season started to see that stat line?

Thank you tmac for honesty and one of the few not too have their heads in the sand about this kid. I hate it but it is just the truth.

Tebow 9-4 as a sophomore

Manziel 9-4 as a sophomore

Aj is an exception. Still did not win the SEC as an underclassmen

McCarron was terrible at this time in his sophomore year. His BCSCG performance was his best of the year.

Tebow an Manziel were extraordinary college QBs. Both were Heisman winners. I think you helped make his point: unless an SEC QB is of Heisman quality he is highly unlikely to be good as a second year player.

I am so sick of the 'young' excuse- you either 'have-it' or you don't. Harris is not the long-term answer; he has made some nice throws at times, but it is starting to look like he has 'maxed out' as to his ability.

WOW! Maxed out huh? And the sad part is this guy really believes that nonsensical bullshite. Says more about him than it does about Harris though.

He knows he can't throw accurately with short passes, which is weird, because the completion percentage for most QBs is higher with shorter passes. I think Harris might have the yips, like Chuck Knoblauch. He throws screen passes into defender's helmets, or just misses by so much the receiver can't catch it - unless it's an offensive lineman. He completes 100% of those.

McCarron won a National Championship in his first year as a starter. His Sophmore year. Now that's not an SEC championship, LSU got that with Jordan Jefferson

A better question is how many great QBs can handle pressure? We've lost two key O blockers (Gordon and Moore), and Miles said Hawkins was hurt in the game. Harris is great when he has protection. He was sacked six times last night?

So in your f'd up little world, Jefferson and Harris, two starting QBs at LSU, are not "educated enough" to know or read the playbook? Can you give me some example this year of Harris not knowing the playbook. Or is that an assumption you make because you believe they don't have the "necessities" to be QBs. Did Lee know the playbook? JR? Flynn?

Not saying Harris will reach these levels, but demonstrates people can get better.

Andrew Lucks (2nd Year in College) - Redshirt Freshman year
162/288. 56% completion percentage for 2500 yards. 13 TD. 1Int.

Cam Newton Sophomore Year:
1/2. 50% completion percentage. 14 yards. 0TD 0 Int.

Trevone Boykin sophomore year:
105/176. 59% completion percentage. 1198 yards. 7 TDs. 7 Int.

Maybe I did. He just asked a question, and I thought I'd answer.

I guess I took your question as a two parter.

Tebow and Manziel might not have had successful seasons teamwise, but a heisman trophy would be proof of success to most

When the frick do we run a 5 yard out or hitch please tell me. Everything is 10 yards and beyond. You are expecting a first time starter to check down to the 5th option in an offense that reads long to short behind a shitty o line. Well dude good fricking luck.

I think things are different than when Hodson played. When he played, LSU had a solid QB...
