Obviously he’s always had a great line. You can’t coach a successful offense without all Americans on the Oline. Just ask the rant

No, you know who has done an amazing job of covering up from injuries, and a bad OLine, to get us to an 8-2 record? Dave Aranda and his LSU defense.

If you can't see that, then you just don't want to.

Can't let him leave for a HC job elsewhere. If he gets a HC offer, LSU has to either fire or demote the current regime.

That’s a great point on the max protect. They ran their systems come hell or high water.

The PA deep look sack on LSU's 5 yard line was the cue for me that it is more than just the Oline.

The O line hurts and is tough to overcome. But, they are not helping the guys they have in there. They have to adapt. They have not.

and is that supposed to mean something. Jimbo left FSU in shambles. and just how good did he do that last year at FSU!

I give you that. Jimbob can't hold saban's jock. He won that title, but he didn't sustain. But jimbob is good enough on offense to score points against Aranda. Ensminger, on the other hand, ain't fooling nobody. And I believe LSU is the more talented team. But again, ENSMINGER. That game will be tight the whole way. I says it's 50 50.

the 8 & 2 is good, except it includes an Ensmingered loss against Florida.

But, the defense let us down vs UF as well. They ran the ball all over our defense. Aranda deserves some blame there also.

I'll give Aranda some blame, but I felt LSU talent-wise was 10+ points better than that bunch led by felipe Frank's. This was our best chance to take down florida with its new coach and shite QB. I blame the offense/Ensminger for it being a tight game.

I love it. The ONE game where the defense didnt play well enough to carry the water for the offense and Ensminger fans are calling it out. Yet the offense has under performed for 8 of 10 games.

You cant make this shite up.

Hell, the defense has to play much more conservative because they cant give up a big play, God knows we couldnt score to offset it.

Can you explain how pointing out that the defense didn't play as well as they could have in that game makes one an Ensminger fan?

You're being way too dramatic in that response. We were only discussing that some of the blame went to D. We know how inept the O was and how pathetic the play calling and adjustments were. My overall point was centered around Ensminger falling short.

Because this is a thread about OCs that is pointing out that in a pivotal game to the LSU season that we could’ve won with a better effort from the defense.

People keep trying to find one offs versus looking at bodies of work. “Yeah, but what about that one game where so and so did yada yada”

Ensminger is my least favorite coach on campus while Aranda is my second favorite behind Wade. The Florida loss was as much on the defense as the offense. Aranda got outcoached by Mullen for the second year in a row. My saying that has nothing to do with E. Aranda is not above being criticized when he messes up.

For some reason I feel this way ever year but then when we end up playing them we wax the floor with them. A&M feels beat before they get on the field with us. We're their Alabama. If the players want to close the season out strong and get that 10th regular season win I think we will beat them pretty easily. I don't see Kellen Mond lighting up our secondary. I just don't. Their rb can be dangerous though. If we keep him in check and get a pick or two against Mond we're sitting pretty.

His shortcomings are so rare I don’t see any need in being critical.

Agreed! I want the 11 & 2 very badly, so I hope you're right. Why do I want this so badly? because often times it's only 1 loss more than what the champion has. If I can't win a championship in a particular season, I'll take whatever and 2. I will be pissed if 10 & 3, and I'm calling for a head at 9 & 4.
