im also on board until i witness otherwise!
i will never question our coaching staff unless there is an obvious inconsistancy with hatch's performance. he does not have to be the greatest qb in the world as long as he doesnt give up any big plays because if he does then he better be able to make the big plays

I already have my "Hatch for Heisman" tee, but if you turn it inside out it's Lee for Heisman.

I am afraid that Hatch is going to disappoint us... big time.
Posted on 8/23/08 at 2:56 pm to Papa Purple and Gold
Hatch will need to make plenty of pass plays for us to win 10.
The LSU QB position never was and never will be 'on autopilot'. It just doesn't work that way.

Superman wears Hatch underwear.

Hatch's Tears cure cancer, too bad Hatch never cries...

but seriously, i agree with previous posts. If everyone else was so much better, why would he be starting...idk Crowton sure seems to like the kid a heck of alot. We shall see

I think that his ability to scramble and create from outside the pocket will get us a lot of first downs when we face 3rd and less than ten. I believe that D. Byrd and Lafell will make a lot of great plays when the ball hangs up in the air too long. It will be important that our WR don't give up on the ball and, at times, play great "defense." I think we'll be just fine with Hatch, but with so many unknowns, it would be crazy not to worry a little right now.

Can Hatch be a Davey O'Brien winner or finalist?
Thanks, I'll hang up and listen
Don't hang up.
The last time LSU had a O'Brien winner, never.
BYU has had 4 winners, Fla. 3 and Fla. St., Penn St., Iowa, Miami, and Ok all with 2 each. Tebow won it last year, before that, the last time someone from the SEC won it, you'd have to go back to 1996.
The only people to have won the award twice are Danny Wuerffel of Florida, Ty Detmer of Brigham Young, and Jason White of Oklahoma.
Crowton having spent time at BYU and with the system would know a little about QB's. Like I tell people, the Wiz has been here for one season, hes just getting started. Same with Coach Studs.

Trivia: What former LSU QB threw 5 Ints. in a Spring game? How did he finish up at LSU?

Posted on 8/23/08 at 3:49 pm to Papa Purple and Gold
Let's give the man a chance to see what he can do folks. He hasn't thrown a pass or made a handoff yet, so sit tight and be optimistic before we throw him to the dogs ( pun intended ). Sometimes it seems as though some of Tigerland is on the other team....dammit.

Crowton will put in a special series of plays for LSU's first series to guarantee Hatch throws a TD pass and get fans excited.

RP= BCS game
Hatch= Cap 1 bowl, at best

Hatch is gonna be MORE than serviceable. He may get overtaken by Lee at some point in the season, but Hatch can get this team 10-12 victories this year.
That said, Hatch will play well this year. JJ will be the man next year. Hopefully Lee develops into a solid #2.

Lee will be LSU's #1 at one point in his career. Why do you people think he's this guy destined to be a backup? He's the most highly recruited QB we have on our team.
