He had a better record at Oklahoma State than Jimmy Johnson. He has a better record at LSU than Nick Saban. Until he starts performing like a bad coach, it's silly to label him one.

The two things that are holding LSU from the SEC Championship this year are Tebow and a SOPH QB.
i will go out on a limb and say we beat florida in death valley this year,i really think we have the team to do it.

His playcalling is very suspect.
In '07 he had BY FAR the best team in the country and should have never lost two.
Last year was a disgrace and should have never happened.
I see the team losing alot of discipline every year since he has been here. Thats not good.

Do not feed the trolls.

Lesticles got his name for a reason. I don't necessarily consider unorthodox playcalling suspect unless you obviously don't have the players to make it work. As far as discipline goes... we're one of the best in the conference at keeping guys out of trouble off the field and some of the stupid penalties last year were most likely a direct result of frustration a la Jarrett Lee. If I played D, I'd be pretty pissed to be on the field again less than a minute after forcing a 3 and out, too.

dude we are in the best conference in the land no way to go undefeated just gotta hope to be on top in the end.atleast we aren't losing to la monroe ,utah ,other than last season wev've held our own , i have no reason to believe we won;t this year or next or next.

but I think last year was a sign of things to come....Les just isnt a good coach, and dont say he is a good coach because he won a NC, so did Coker. I hope im wrong but i see a few more rough years before he is out and we can try to rebuild.
Yeah, I mean - look at Les' God-Awful Bowl Game performances.

Just wanted to toss this out as a possible post-Bama job for Saban. FSU. Yes it's ACC but they play the other Florida teams, have a great recruiting base, and would probably pony up the dough. I just don't see the Jimbo experiment working for them.

I hope your right.
I LOVE him going for it on 4th down, BUT things like Les calling time out when the clocks already stopped is suspect, I'm sorry.

Surprised it took you this long to chime in on a bash Miles opportunity.

Not bashing at all. I love Miles. I am just saying I am not sold 100% on him and thats the case for alot of other LSU fans. So what?
Sorry I am not a cheerleader.
He has pro's andd con's.

Houston Nutt won with more talent than you might think. Ed Ogeron brought in some very talented players, he just flat out can't coach. But for some reason he gets the players wherever he is, legal or not. Ole Miss still has players that will be drafted in the first round.

suit yourself. Not being a cheerleader is fine and dandy. Always being a Debby Downer about Miles and LSU football and looking for the negative is something different.
Posted on 9/1/09 at 1:42 pm to I-59 Tiger
Hell, for that matter, I am not sold on Urban Meyer! He was handed a porsch much like Miles was handed a lamborghini.

So me saying they win the west this year is debbie downer? I guess I should have said they go undefeated and win it all.

what a retard. If your basing this on him having a 8-5 season last year, then there is no such thing as a "good coach".

...doubt it - you're the guy who sits next to me at the stadium complains all game long about the wrong calls being made.

Les is getting paid to much money to let himself fail. If you were making Les type of money you would do what ever it takes to secure you job.
