re: HB7's "holding call"

all tm7 did was grab his shoulder. dre threw himself to the ground to get the penalty called, and in the process landed wrong and got hurt. :beatdeadhorse:

After watching it on the tv broadcast instead of at the game, I think he was trying to get his arm under 21's arms to slow him down so he could push him just barely in front. Bit looks like a leverage move to me.
Exactly. I don't know why these people are bitching about it. It was A frickING HOLDING CALL. omg theres holding every fricking game. Yes it was dumb. He got beat by his man, he tried to make a las ditch effort to stop him.. then he even realized it was dumb and let up.
GROW THE frick UP YOU frickING PUSSY arse TOOLS. Tyran is not dirty nor was it a dirty play and he did apologize and also said he had no malicious intent.. which if you honestly watch the entire thing unfold it does not look very fragrant at all. SO GROW frick UP. The play had nothing to do with any jawing. He jaws every game. He still doesn't play dirty. He has never played dirty. NEVER. NEVER frickING EVER.
It's just unfortunate that the player was injured, but it was not intentional at all.
These pussy arse fans have an agenda against TM7 and should rewatch the play with an open mind you dumb shits. It's football. Bonehead plays happen, and block in the backs happen on kickoffs.. Yall don't crucify those players..

Unfortunately, we have a lot of those. He tried to block a guy on a punt without getting called for clipping. The nerve of him. He puposely tried to get an arm on his chest as to not hold or clip. This happens on every single play in the O-line. TM7 spun Dre around, he didn't slam anything. Dre hit his head on the ground, not because TM7 did anything outrageous. That was a 6'3 future first round pick corner running free on a punt. For all TM7 knew, Dre could have hit OBJ immediately causing the turnover that won the game for Bama. He tried to make a play, it ended up hurting his team.
Should have been kicked out????? Seriously?? It was holding, and not even with his hands. He could have two hand shoved Dre's face into the ground from behind and that would have been a clipping from behind like every other punt you've ever seen. There was nothing remotely unsportsmanlike about that play.

x's about one hundred bazillion. these people are unreal to call him dirty and immediately turn their back on a player who busts his arse for his team.
seriously go frick yourselves.

Imo he is a little frustrated at this point because he has not made any big plays in the last two games. He has been a non factor the last couple of games and seems to be having trouble handling it.
He gave up 1 or 2 completions on crossing patterns my God he had a horrible game!
I must not have watched the same game as you because I saw TM7 save a touchdown by running from acoss the field to push Richardson out of bounds when the rest of the defense had a busted assignment. I saw him down a punt at the 5. I saw him single handedly knock back a TE who had a good 60 pounds on him, and he tied for the most solo tackles. Clearly, he has sucked the last couple of weeks.

I dont think there was any malicious intent. it was a bad/stupid play but that doesn't mean he meant to hurt him. On the other hand, had that happened to one of our stars i would be pissed too.

in the third quarter, kirkpatrick threw a club punch at the side of Mathieu's head during a punt
Mathieu appears to have not been able to help himself to keep shite real
terribly stupid move

Go watch the replay and please tell me what part of it is dirty or trying to intentionally injure someone. Please.
Being a full step behind the man and reaching over his shoulder to spin him to the ground isn't dirty?
I don't think he was intentionally trying to concuss, but come on man.

It wasn't the 'hold' that was the problem, it was the hook around the neck and then throwing him to the ground that was problematic, totally unnecessary.
He didn't throw him to the ground you dipshit.
Open your eyes and watch the play. Slow it down if you need to. He let up.

Holy shite.. Watch the replay.
His arm comes across the shoulder pads. He then grabs the front of his jersey and pulls. Thus, spinning Dre around. Dre then is off balance and falls bc he's going faster than he can back peddle. Dre then unfortunately hits his head on the ground and injures himself.
Let's please overreact at this play some more. Bama wouldn't give a shite if when Hightower blew up Lee after his pass if Lee's head hit the ground and knocked him out of the game. Same with JJ. Please drop this.
exactly. i don't know why this tiger dude in atl is so blind and has such an agenda here.

Saw the replay, as some have mentioned it wasn't a dirty play. we teach that technique if you are trying to block someone down field who has a step on you. as was said, it's to gain leverage. swing the arm infront with a closed fist, which he did and he hit his shoulder, not his neck.
once you get your arm in front, the idea is to push yourself infront of him so you can actually block the guy. when TM7 tried to pull himself infront, he spun dre around instead which is what drew the holding flag. running full speed and getting spun around caused him to fall and pop the back of his head on the ground which was the injury. seriously, tracy wolfson even said dre was dizzy, how are you dizzy after a "punch to the neck"?
i don't even think it was that dumb of a play, it was just poorly executed.

yea wasn't dumb or dirty. it just didn't get executed correctly. Seriously if it was dirty ritter and his boys would have booted trex in 2 seconds.
the over reaction to this is silly.

Reaching over someone's shoulder is dirty now. It looked bad live no question, but it wasn't.

I personally think he was trying to save what he thought was about to be a #33 Beckam (spelling?) steam roll. He was beat and since the trash talking had been occuring the entire game between the two he lost it for a minute. I don't think for a second he was trying to break his neck. The injury was the result of him smashing his head in the ground. When he flailed his arms in the air it made it look much worse. I'm a biased Honey Badger fanatic though, he could punch him in the balls for all I care. Honey Badger don't give a shite remember.?

Dude - watch this video: LINK
and tell me where this phantom "hook around the neck" is?
Was it a stupid play that negated a good return by Beckham? Absolutely. Was it dirty, etc? Absolutely not.

hitting a qb and running back 3 feet out of bounds isn't dirty as long as its bamas d doing it, hitting a guy in the shoulder on a return and having him hurt himself is dirty if that player is a bama player

Since when did players not attempt to get away something. You can rest assured every down someone is pushing that envelope to the limit. Some get caught others don't. Watch those d limemen when they let that 310lb body just fall on the player. Maybe we should have a penalty for excessive flopping.
