How about having Saban, Smart and Fisher on the same staff in 2004? Those three coaches have combined to win 10 national titles at four different programs as head coaches (so far).
We lost crappy games with that staff that year. Year 5 of Saban and we trot out Marcus Randall at QB. Look back at our defensive roster and explain how the hell that staff lost games including Georgia by 30 and to Iowa plus escaped another loss to Oregon State if not for multiple missed kicks. Also managed to beat Troy by 4.
Great staff but toxic af with Saban a foot out the door.

UK 1946-53. Adolph Rupp and Bear Bryant.

Assuming this is correct, 'bout as close to Skip and Nick as anyone's gonna get. But Saban > Bear and Skip as a baseball coach > Rupp as a roundball coach.

No offense to this group.
Saban > Kelly
Skip > Jay
Henry is the second winningest or winningest T&F coach of all time 40 vs 36 BUT HAS MORE THAN McDonnell at Arky if you leave out CC.
Pokey was brilliant not quite CKM but had teams (she coached or recruited) that went to 5 straight final 4’s.
Brady was a good coach. Went to a final 4.

I don’t disagree with you. At one time, Rupp and Bear were top 2-3 all time greats in their sport. Rupp is winningest by percentage in bball history. Bear was in total wins until passed by Paterno and Bowden.

To be fair, at that time saban was far from “the GOAT”

I know. Skip was at the end of his run and Saban had just begun his. Still neat that they were actively HCs at the time though.

tGOAT coaching staff. Rivaled only by Belichick's staff for the Browns.
