I think its insulting to the players not to speculate this.

Sure they are 5-0 and will give it every breath they have but to say that its not fair speculation for fans to think Lester may lose this teams confidence is blind

Les hasn't lost his team. These are a classy group of kids who reallyknow how to win. These guys are gonna rally around their qb and try to prove a point. This is one of the most talented teams we've had and trust me, the players know how good that can be. They'll do everything they can to win, in spite of all the coaching blunders.

Cholly Mac. For those of us who were there or can remember, this was not the proudest moment in LSU football history.

do you have any idea of what the players think of their coaches???

do you have any idea of what players think of outside sources thinking they know what happening behind the scenes?

try not to project YOUR feelings about the situation.

Yeah, but for different reasons, right? McClendon was a good coach who couldn't out-recruit (out-money) Bryant. Les is falling apart each weekend.

Bobby has no connection to lsu other than his son plays and is not the starter.
Miles may have lost the team, but we don't know that yet. 5-0 and the players haven't quit yet.

True, but that doesn't mean that anyone should take him seriously.

I love Bobby and his drunken post game ramblings, but he never misses a chance to take a shot at LSU.

He also seems like a crappy dad to put his son in an awkward position with his coaches and teammates to fill air time on his radio show. He should STFU about the offense while T-bob is on the team.

Yes and no. You mustn't have been there and/or don't remember. Here's how I recall what happened then...

Mac had outlived his effectiveness, but had been a great coach. He was bitterly treated since the day he walked into the HC office by the Dietzel crowd. His entire tenure was played out under a cloud of "help Mac pack" rumblings. In the end, they got him. But he had run out of coaching mojo, so the anti-Macs felt justified and most of the fans agreed. Still it was a very painful separation.

He needs to take lessons from Golic who refused to comment on Notre Dame situation while his son was playing for Notre Dame. Now that's a class act.

I was only 8 or 9. I remember the frustration towards the end of his tenure. The inability to beat Bryant. Over and over. And then his last two seasons were pretty mediocre. It was so different back then. The scheduling. The lack of hype. When adults still ran things....
