It is obvious you have never played college football...

It is foolish of you to think that comments like RJF's prior to a game like this wouldn't up the emotions and change things for Florida.

If this Florida team needs these comments(which arent that bad by the way) to get fired up for LSU, then they completely suck and will get royally screwed Saturday.

But you know what? They don't. They have been waiting since last year to get the Tigers in their own stadium. They have the extra motivation of just losing to the Rebels at home. These comments did nothing to fire this Florida team up. They were already there.

You have got to be an alter.

Thats whats funny about football, everybody is thinking the same thing, but say the opposite. They say the most polite things to the media. They try not to offend the opposing team so they wont get angry or have some ammo to play harder. But every single football player on our team is thinking "I would love to hit Tebow as hard as i could straight on, and if he has to leave the game, well that goes in our favor."

Every defender thinks this way, its football its a rough sport. RJF isnt a thug for wanting to hit a player hard. I doubt he wishes serious injury to Tebow and I seriously doubt he would intentionally try to hurt Tebow illegally. Football players love to hit, theres nothing wrong with that. The only thing wrong with the comment is that it gives UF something to play harder for.

IMO, if the QB in question had been anybody other than Tebow, I doubt you'd have heard much about it in the media.

Its a great story line for the game. Comments like that can be blown up and will get great ratings. Im sure these comments are said quite often at many a water cooler around the country especially in the SEC. This one just happen to be said in front of the media.

To hell with that. I wish they would recruit more thugs. That just means more attitude. More attitude from the streets. If you bring that into your program, the sky's the limit.

Are you from Miami?

No one ever implied Florida wasn't already fired up...this just amplified it.

If you truly believe this statement you typed, and I assume you do, then not a single person on this board will take you seriously any more, lol.

You don't think Florida will be as pumped as they can possibly be for this game?

There is no way what RJF said can "amplify" UF, they will be as pumped and as "amplified" as they could possibly be.

Once that game kicks off, NOTHING that was said during the week makes one bit of a difference in this game.

I don't think anyone has to worry about uf being fired up. their backs are against the wall(lose this one and they are probally out of the nc hunt) and they will lay it all out rjf comments or not. As for the comments. I know I am a homer but to me it sounded like ricky was saying they were going to hit tebow as hard as they could every chance they got hoping to make him ineffective (see tiutama or however you spell it in 06) and hoping the send him to the training room the next day to deal with all the soreness. Maybe i am naive but that is how i feel.

Hanigriff said yesterday on the radio that he probably would not play.

And those of you who say he may play a little, evidently you have never had a groin injury. It's not something you can suck up and be effective with.

Interesting....especially since according to Miles, the injury he sustained was to his groin and not his hip.

I thought it was because of his lip?

Sure does sound like it. And here I was accused of asking a "stupid question." I'll take my apologies in writing.

When I said yesterday that he was not going to play due to an injury, bushformvp told me to get lost.

It wasn't a stupid question and apparently my answer wasn't a stupid answer.
