How do the TEs look?

I know we have Treydez, and he’s a beast, will be the best in the nation this next year. But do we have any guys under him that can pick up 6-7 yards reliably, in a more Bauer Sharp role (while also not fumbling 457 times)? I know we grabbed a kid from Oregon, but he’s really more of a blocker.

We might not be done at TE.
To 105 we go.
Eta. I’m sorry. I didn’t really answer your question.
I think we are better off than with Sharpe and D Green. (Even though I thought D Green was going to be the most prototype well rounded TE we had next year without knowing who we had coming in).

Gonna be difficult to fill the shoes of a guy who had 2 catches a game. Not sure how Kidd is going to pull it off.

T Green should lead the team in receiving. But D Greene was the guy I thought might take up the possession tight end, short yard guy. We’ll see how it goes.

The LaFluer kid looks good in a uniform Not sure how athletic he is.

If TG stays healthy he’s obviously got the receiving aspect of the TE position coverred.
If the guy from Oregon is more of a blocker that’s great and what LSU needs .
Hell maybe they will be able to run the ball a little this year so it will make sense to have a TE capable of run blocking.

Certainly has the bloodline

Well, you would like to have a reliable tight end two that can just reliably get you some yards, even with Treydez. We had like Kole Taylor and guys like that when we had Mason a few years ago.

I trust Lane Kiffin implicitly when it comes to building and offense and recruiting the players he needs. We took at least 2 tight ends. The guy from Pitt and the guy from Oregon. Would presume the Oregon guy is the blocker and the Pitt guy is more of a true TE.

I did too.
Count me in that number, as well.

If he's anything like his Daddy there's nothing to worry about. I've been excited about his recruitment since the start.
Also, the recruit from Illinois that Lane flipped from Ole Miss is supposed to be very good.
As much as I like TGreen he's more of a reciver and we could use a solid blocking TE as well - a more traditional style.

Never seen any of his tape but could almost guarantee the Pitt transfer we got will be better than Sharp!

I think JD Lafleur fills that role.
