Well in this game the guy just gave a piss poor blocking effort to the point it looked like someone slipped him money. Was so awful he didn’t even attempt to do anything

I don’t think LSU has blocked 8 punts in the 21st century. I can only remember 4 or so off the top of my head since Saban.

Most well coached college team I’ve seen. Not the best, but the most well coached.
This is how. You’ve got smart players that are well coached and they know how to block a kick without roughing. Even if the guy misses the punt last night, he doesn’t even come close to roughing. LSU doesn’t typically have those type players.

I would have all 11 rushing the punter, or playing for a fake. No return man ever, no muffs, no fumbles, no penalties. Get a few blocks.

You have to be dominant in all 3 phases of the game. A lot of people seem to forget about that third phase of special teams. Les Miles team were always outstanding on special teams. Special teams and defense can go hand in hand.

BK special teams were bottom of the barrel his entire time here.

It’s just another in the long line of lack of detail that happens when the head guy is checked out

Some teams emphasize special teams. BK never did

Does Indiana know something LSU coaches don't know?
they coach fearless. We have coached fearful. It’s that simple.

We prioritized checking in for breakfast, they prioritized football.

Coaching. Putting a priority on special teams with a dedicated coach. Something BK sucked at.

Va Tech under Beamer did shite like that. It’s what happens when you actually treat special teams as a true third facet of the game and take it seriously.
this.

When you devote the time in film study to look for weaknesses and then practice exploiting that weakness, every week, you get results.

Their crowd would go nuts when the punt block team lined down, was unlike anything I’ve heard at other stadiums
