Has Heimlich actually left the team? We was still in the dugout chumming it up the night he was supposed to start.

My Bad. He asked to be excused from Playing. Seems like he's just a distraction now unless he helps coach/mentor other pitchers.

so he excused himself from playing until they absolutely need him in Omaha then he will take the mound again.

That's a very good question.

I was kind of confused by this when the initial report came out.

What is the usual consequence of a sex offender that lapse on registration?

Their whole pitching staff is great. Just go take a look at their stats. Still 3 guys under 1 ERA and out of their top 5 pitching minus the one they lost, highest is a 1.52

They're a solid and complete team, but solid and complete doesn't always win it. You need a little luck to go with that when in Omaha. LSU, UNC, and Vandy were the class of the field for the entire 2013 season; the most complete and battle tested teams as you could get. Only 2 of the 3 made it to the CWS (LSU and UNC) and none of them were in the finals.

Here's to hoping we get over the hump in the new stadium and win it all. Really too bad that we're on the same side of the bracket

Pretty damn good. They have guys out of the bullpen that can come out and take over a game. Pitching is key in tournaments. I would say that pitching is their strong point, I believe they have a sub 3 ERA

The only OSU game I saw all year was game 1 vs vandy. The guy who started looked like your stereotypical 6-5 225 power righty with command issues, struggled with command at first then settled down and dominated. Drew Rasmussen is a name I recognize, he's been ther #3 the last few weeks since he's coming off tommy john but has The best stuff on the team. Assuming heimlich is out for Omaha, I'm thinking that is who LSU would see if they play osu in game 2.

Offensively is where OSU scared the shite out of me. I remember madrigal from last year, I think he's kind of their spark plug. He kind of reminds me of the leadoff guy from coastal last year. then they got a big lurch that hit 2 homers off vandy. They remind me of state or LSU in their approach in that they all battle every single pitch, if they are down 0-2 they will foul off 2 or 3 pitches, draw some balls, then put the ball into play. I'm assumed that they were a small ball team but they remind me more of vandy and lsu's style of olay where they poke singles here and there and every now and then get a double but they always look to take the extra base. I know raby didn't have his best stuff Friday, but Saturday it looks like they just crushed wright so I don't know. I feel like them vs LSU would be the game of the series.

His statement made me think his leave could be short term. Maybe when and if the media storm blows over.

Oregon State has the deepest quality pitching staff in the CWS Florida or no UF. And that's with or without Heimlich.

My prediction: Heimlich will start OSU's game number two probably against LSU. Oregon State has put no limits on Heimlich playing.

Sorry OSU coaches,Tigers can't lose to a 6 yr old baby sex offender..... if OSU starts him then he deserves to be a distraction to team so bring your baby bottles to the stadium that should put him into default and short out his super low ERA circuitry
