I know saban would love to come back here and I think the university would pay him to come back if shite went to hell here w/ miles. The thing is that Miles is doing a hell of a job recruiting and this year was just a weird year with the whole qb situation and co-dc's. I believe he's learned from his mistakes and it will be a great year next year.

One of the reasons Les was hired is he is unlike the Saban's, Petrinos, etc who jump for the dollar and new scenery.
He is a COACH, A family man and is cut from the old school mold of what a coach is
Integrity, loyalty, commitment, a man of his word

Get over Saban already. He is never coming back. And I'm glad. It's not a matter of forgiving. It's just too much water under the bridge. I think Miles is here for a while. And that's fine with me.
Fear the Hat.

The other point I'm trying to make is that in recent history, THE ONLY REASON we have coaching changes, other than Saban, is due to firings or retirement. That is a very promising fact about our university and I'm proud of it.

I think Les will stay as long as he is having success and with the recruiting class he has put together this year and the defensive coaching staff, I don't think there will be a drop off in performance in the near future.
The only job I could possibly see him leaving LSU for is Michigan if RR fails. With the success LSU has had over the last ten years I don't think there is a "better" job in college football. I can't imagine someone wanting to leave LSU for another program. The facilities are great, the money is great, the instate talent is as good as it gets and the fanbase is rabid and very passionate about football.
LSU is definitely one of the top 4 programs in the SEC, so in my opinion there is nowhere to go that would be an upward move.
Just my opinion.

yeah, you are right, support the current coach, that is what it is all about, I just miss that attacking D coach Sab and Muschamp had going, on 3rd and 8, you knew they were sending the dogs

scoop I totally agree. There isn't a team that's above the rest but there are a selective few that are and most of them are from the SEC which is awesome.(lsu and bama being 2 of them). Bama was always considered in that mix of universities b/c of your past but we were not until Saban came along. But yes, a college coaches' pinnacle would be to coach for teams like ours and I'm proud to say that.

I also wish we had that attacking 3rd and long D but unfortunately our D was looking at a lot of 1st and 10's

If he wins - he gets to stay as long as he wants. I think he wants to stay...remember that interview after it was all said and done - they asked him about the Michigan job. What he said his mentor (Bo) told him really struck me that he wanted to stay - Something like - make LSU your Michigan...that's what I did. LSU has a lot going to it.. Something along those lines.

Nope, she would have stayed forever until everyone found out she was dating one of her own players. Not the same thing. If she'd been dating someone on a different women's team there wouldn't have been a problem.
There are very few ways a tenured professor can be fired - carrying on with your own students is one of them.

" DAMN STRONG FOOTBALL TEAM!! " or something like that. i think he stays if he wanted michigan he would have went. i think it really depends on how long he can take the Louisiana summers. just joking but they are pretty damn bad.

Les will be here until he retires. So many people thought this was a career deciding season for him. HA! That's rediculous. Next year we will rock the nation and he will continue here for years to come. Chalk it up.

If a dumbass like you knew it, don't you think the opposing coaches might have as well?

I think if Les has 2 or 3 good seasons and RR leaves Michigan Les would feel like he been there and done that so he would go to Michigan to be back home and try to build that program up.Then Slick Nicky would definately jump on LSU because he has friends here and he then would not leave for awhile because he been there and done that and he likes it here most.
