Mid-30s, I remember the malaise days too.

And I don't care what anyone says, 21-0 was the worst LSU loss in our lifetime. Hearing these fools say the MS State loss was the worst was the best laugh I had all week.

Watched Bert Jones as QB, came and supported the team regardless of record. I remember just hoping to beat anybody.

I started watching football when I was about 8 growing up in southern California. Everyone in the area was either a UCLA or USCal fan. I chose LSU as my team, and confused all my friends and family but I've never second guessed it. I can remember watching them from the late 80s all through the 90s up to present, when the rare LSU game would be broadcast in whatever area I happened to be in.

I'm 39 now and have lived in several states before settling in Oklahoma. And through it all I have bled P&G and will do so until I'm in the dirt.

This is awesome

I remember spanking a coaches arse only for that coach 6 seasons later to bring us to the promised land.

Cholly Mac getting reamed

He was getting creamed by the fan base as far back as '63 in only his second season after a pathetic loss to Rice in Houston. LSU students actually hung him in effigy. It's incredible to imagine he endured for 18 seasons!

1988..... agreed LSU has a very strong proud tradition. Makes me wonder even more how Alleva couldn't have done a better job in recruiting a proven coach.....

Then I think, oh yeah.... Alleva! He is such a terrible joke for an AD

Let’s just say I am old enough to remember when I couldn’t even give tickets away during the Curly years.

Listened to "the call" , by J.C. Politz as a 14 year old .
Whereby the fellow that made the run made the stop at the LSU goalline.

Late 30s. Lived through Dinardo years but left right as they hired Saban.

I consider myself blessed to have watched the golden era of LSU football.

First game was with my Dad, Mom, and older brother 1957.
The men wore suits with fedoras, the women worn their Sunday best with petty coats and giant mum purple and gold corsages. Us boys wore our man suits. Lots of bourbon and fights all night.

Old enough to have seen Bear Bryant dominate us. I don't think we will ever go back to where we were from '89-'95. The infrastructure is much better and we have the recruiting base. I don't have the feeling the cupboard is empty and we can't ever fill it up again. CEO is not Archer or Hallman.

Our biggest problem is 5'6" and his name is Nicholas Lou Saban. It won't last forever. I take solace in knowing we have always run a pretty clean program and have the best tradition, students and fans.
