With good reason.....the evidence was there for everyone to see clearly.

You don't have enough evidence yet on CEO....here at LSU....to be making the suppositions you are making.
Transitive logic.....he failed at Ol Miss...therefore...he will fail at LSU. Is this not being short-sighted a little?

Who cares what happened at Ole Miss. You have to forgive and forget things after a decade.Thats not the point at all and anyone bringing up Ole Miss to criticize Ed should be banned on here.

Ed has the chance of a lifetime sitting in front of him. Many top HC's would like this opportunity to inherit this program, as is.
There are absolutely no excuses moving forward. He's been here what 5 years now? LSU made a change at the HC position to improve the program's results. The expectations are now higher because of this change and not just on the scoreboard, but also in recruiting, sanctions and player development. If you are the boss and you terminate someone who is getting good results and shows up every day, in order to hire someone new and more talented, then you are expecting better results immediately. Especially, if its a promotion from someone already on the staff.

Ed needs to win 10 games this year. Lets hope he does better than that. He did take over after the 4th game and he did enough to get the job according to his new boss and thats all that matters. So far, so good.

Quit making excuses for him and judge him on his decisions and W/L record. This program has been run very well since the year 2000, he needs to enhance it. Any thing short of that, will deserve criticism.

The vibe here off of a sugar bowl appearance let alone a win would have people thinking were winning the SEC.

Oddly enough I put that loss squarely on the players.

Guice and DJ made two horrendous plays off the top of my head that made that game close.

I have good reason to question Coach O.

The only time he has had success as a head coach is when he is stepping into an interim role.

What? At no time have i said Orgeron sucks. I just post facts about his career up to this point.
Regardless of what he does he was still one of the most unqualified hires in big 6 history.

At no time did i say this. But i do find it funny that people like you want to dismiss the only time Coach O was running a program.

I never said failing at ole miss means he will fail at lsu.
I just wish lsu would hire a head coach that has proven he can,AT THE VERY LEAST,run a a successful side of the ball.

Literally any coordinator that has proven he can successfully run a side of the ball or a head coach that has proven he can run a successful program.

Hell Coach O didnt even have the best resume on lsu's 2016 staff.

I wouldnt say this to red. He said yesterday that O was left a pile of mess.

There are already posters saying not to expect to win 10 games. The goal post for success was moved the day Miles was fired.

I seriously doubt that. The same people that hate the hire would still be butthurt over not making a Herman an "offer he can't refuse". An offer which he would have still refused. They would still be butthurt over not going after Fuentes or Fedora.

Some are just butthurt that they lost their guy, Les Miles.

In summary, there is not enough Boudreaux's Butt Paste to salve all of the butthurt among the anti-O crowd.

Too bad O didn't have a competent RB Coach who should've made 100% sure that Guice knew the play-call and his responsibility during that time-out before the last play against UF.

Great Recruiter, so we're told.

The "Great Recruiter" was quick to get the ax after the season though..............

No you dont...you have good reason to question Alleva.

You're taking your frustration out on a man who didnt hire himself.

Les would have won the Florida game.

Until Orgeron starts producing better results than Miles, I will remain cautiously optimistic.

He failed at Old Miss, failed to be thought of highly enough to be hired as a DC after the Old Miss failure, and NEVER got a HC hire ANYWHERE until Alleav decided O was the raw diamond of a HC that only he could see

Tell you what. Lets keep O and fire Alleva. That works for me.

Exactly 1 coach in the history of college football has had a worse start to their career and went on to win an NC.

Coaches improve, and i'm sure O has too. But to think he has gone from 3-21 to 21-3 is naive at best, but probably just blind optimism.

It just doesnt happen, from a historical perspective. Could it happen, sure. But the numbers are not on our side.

Why would anyone think that Alleva has come up with the magic potion to defeat history?

Are you and your kin so knave as to think that NO ONE ELSE in the athletic department/admin had any input at all in the O hiring?

I mean, this had to be a group decision...even though JA pulled the trigger.
