They recruit 'athletes' and track stars with an arm. Recruit a damn football player. I don't give a shite what his 40 time is. Is he a good QB?

Etling is an athletic track star?

That pass dying out and hitting the Alabama defensive back in the arse....was a thing of beauty.

Hurts' passing numbers don't represent the impact he made in the game.

Hurts is an average passer at best, but he is a playmaker when it's needed. He made two plays that changed the whole game.

LSU has recruited a number of top ranked QBs. They just simply cant coach them up.

Hate to break it to you but Tua Tagovailoa is more talented than Hurts. He just isn't as composed and calm like Hurts is.

People are not trying to hear that. U need a dual threat QB to beat the likes of Bama period. Don’t give me that Bo Wallace bullshite either. He had 30 plus yards rushing after sacks. He was a factor in that game with his legs as well. 4 of the Top 5 teams in the playoff rankings have Dual Threat QBs. Damn what is that telling you?

Etling is a good quarterback, above-average,

no. no. no. no. no. no.

He is not a good quarterback and i don't understand how anyone could have watched the game this saturday and think he's even an average qb.

And LSU has been recruiting passing qb's for quite some time now, despite the fact that we run an offense that would be more efficient with simply putting an athlete back there, like Narcisse.

If all we are going to do is run the ball, and throw deep, then find a guy that can run, and throw a deep ball.
Etling, Harris, Jennings, Mett, all passing qb's that posed no serious threat to run. QUIT RECRUITING THOSE GUYS!!!! The only way they can succeed is if they are a really good passer, like Mett was. If Brennen isn't an accurate gun slinger, than i think it's stupid to look at guys like him to be the QB. We should have more guys like Narcisse, not Brennen.

Mett signed with Georgia. The only reason he ended up at LSU is because he got drunk . . .

So we didn't recruit him from JC at all? He just stumbled onto campus in a drunken stupor?

I'm almost in full agreement with this. But watching how much our WRs seemed to get separation and just flat out beat their DBs last Sat, I think an offense with our WRs and a mature passing game would be effective against them. We left a lot of yards/points on the field.

I think what Canada's motion does well is that it stretches the field laterally almost every play which makes it easier to stretch the field vertically.

We simply didn't take advantage of those opportunities.
