I'm not nearly as excited as I normally would be. I'm over the covid bullshite as well as the non-stop social justice being thrown in my face.

I disagree, I don't see our staff letting the outside world's negativity seeping in to such a degree to cause that.

BUT, 3 P5 teams lost games they shouldn't this weekend (ULL, ULM, and Ar State all beat Big 12 teams). So if our staff were not to protect the team from such creep it can happen.

I have the distinct feeling those games will be highlighted this week as a motivational tool in the ops building.

Myself, 10 SEC games is something to look forward to. That's anything but glorified practices. Even if we got the easiest of the lot it is still SEC games and coming off last year is going to be important as far as making a statement that the new LSU is here to stay. And that will also be felt in recruiting.

So that ripple effect is reason enough to be excited.

Watching those games got me even more excited for LSU and there was not one marquee matchup.

I’m not AS excited. But I have a feeling as we get closer to game day I’ll start getting those butterflies

Try to look on the bright side.... There is a very good chance there would be no season at all. Be sure to count your blessings.

The whole College Football season lacks the allure fall usually brings because so much of it relies on the pageantry and energy the fans bring. I will be excited to watch us play, but the whole thing feels blah this year.

I am with you. Just never seemed like season would take place. Usually in July I am dying for the season to start and this summer I never felt that...hell I still don't feel t. I am sure I will be excited when we play though.

Idk about anyone else but I watched almost every game available from Saturday-Sunday. It’s great having football back even with all the political grandstanding.

NCAA Takeaways: GT looks good running the spread, ND will give you 4 Quarters, Clemson and Lawerence look improved, UL has some studs at the skilled positions but offensive play calling was very conservative. Without a game to know for sure, LSU would beat everyone who played with the exception of Clemson.

NFL Takeaways: No preseason games benefits the defense. Most offenses, including the SAINTS, ran vanilla playbooks to ease into the speed of the game. The speed of NFL and big hits are amazing to see again, mofos were out there with bad intentions. Preseason games could be a thing of the past.

Not saying it's right or wrong but I believe things, like this football season, are just in a different perspective than before 2020. It definitely doesn't seem as fun, or important, as it used to be. I hope that changes soon, though!

following LSU since 1969 when i was 10 years old. this season just has "bad dream" written all over it. watched a couple games this weekend, and they seemed like glorified practices. maybe watching MY TEAM will enhance MY enthusiasm.
am i alone in feeling like this???

I’m with you on this. What the pandemic mess didn’t ruin, the SJW has ruined the rest. Why can’t we just be allowed to ENJOY sports, instead of being forced to watch games with few or no fans, all while being told how horrible we all are??? I’ve been going to games since I was 3 yrs old; I’m 53 now and this is one football season I’m not even excited for. Was 2019 the last good year??

I could totally care less about 25, 000 in Tiger Stadium at 2:30 in the afternoon.

That's an abomination that I want no part of.......

Glad LSU football is here but it does have a different feel. The all conference schedule will add some excitement and who really knows who the winner will be. Been watching since 1958 so I am not going to stop now. Geaux Tigers!
