Imagine if Hilliard gives you 5 strong and you turn it over to Coleman and Fontenot to seal the win. Then you gotta feel real good about a well rested marceaux in game 2

Ok and if he doesn’t and we lose by one run then I bet you tell yourself hmmmm if Marceaux was pitching we win this game.

So if we lose Saturday I’m coming back to this thread. We win and it’s a great move

What if we win Sunday and Monday because our ace showed our on Saturday vs their ace?

You gonna come talking shite then?

If we lose Saturday, Paul chit still has more baseball knowledge than you will ever have. Ok? Do you understand that? So please root for Tennessee Saturday so you can come back and claim to be an expert.

Just now heard this on the Ark game broadcast: Since 99, the winner of game #1 in the super regionals goes on to win the series 80% of the time. Hopefully Hilliard can throw a good 5 to 6, with solid relief, and we pull out a win. I’d feel pretty damn good going into Sunday with Marceaux on the mound if so.

Don't need one. We can win behind Hilliard. Game one you go Hilliard and Coleman, that way when you win you give the ball to Marceaux on Sunday to get you to Omaha.

I almost said dumb arse Marceaux is going pitch in game 2. They aren’t going to wait till Sunday to start him. Then I realized…………………I’m the dumb arse.

OP is 100% correct.

Watch the fools in this thread who are supporting this move come back Saturday after the game and a 7-6 loss and complain that we would have won if Marceaux had pitched.

It's the wrong move.

Step on their neck in game 1.

Period.

If the Tennessee pitcher is suspect? Do you need your ace to throw?

So he threw a lot of pitches....so what? Hilliard is not a smart move. Hilliard will give up a lot of runs.

Wouldn’t that be the logic behind saving your best starter against a dude that the offense will probably struggle against Sunday?

Marceaux on Saturday is right You just can’t risk not having Labas start a game in this super regional. Kinda shocked that’s the route they want to take

It looks like we’re in the minority here man but IF we lose on Saturday and now have to rely on Labas all these fans disappear
