Max can run and Miles can't. It's as simple as that. Doesn't matter what his throws look like or if they are perfect in all honesty....
This is Max Johnson's job and it's not going to change barring injury.

The only thing Brennan brings over Johnson is his arm and a stronger arm does not equal better qb

i'm pulling for brennan because i do think he has the edge. he's just older and a little more seasoned.
going to enjoy lsu football no matter who wins the job.

I agree.
But it would be best for everybody and the program if Brennan starts and has a big season.
Then goes pro.
It gives time for our young prospects to develope.
For me the best case scenario is to have your QB in the system for 2-3 years and then start for 2 years and go pro.

Utter nonsense. If Johnson is the QB who gives us the best chance to win right now he needs to be and will be the starter. If Brennan is that guy, he should and will start as well. I don't know why y'all overthink this so much.

Exactly. I personally believe that both will play, giving defenses 2 offenses to prepare for. Stick with the guy putting up points.
The initial separator is going to be calling protection. IR blocking assignments. With Myles having graduated, I would guess that he has the lead early in the season.

Why did you leave off my first two words of my response to you?
I said “I agree”
Meaning I agree with what you said.
Do you understand and comprehend that?
I stand by my comments.
P.S.
If Nussmier turns out to be the best QB in August he should start in September.
This is not rocket science

I want the best QB to play but I hope it’s Myles. As long and as much as he’s gone through since being here, he almost deserves it.
This is college football at its highest level. It's high pressure and high expectations. It's brutal competition, and the guy that gives us the best chance to win should play. Period.
No emotion, no wishing, no sentimentality.
Best guy plays, at each position. If they struggle, they get demoted.
Brutal, merit-based competition, pure and simple.
If Brennan is the best guy, I'm behind him 100%. And it would make a good story, with the injury comeback. But that's irrelevant. Best guy plays.

Some of you continue to misquote and misinterprete what people are saying...
He clearly said “he ALMOST deserves it”
Some people including myself are pulling for Brennan to be the guy for many reasons:
Experience
Time he put in
Recovering from an injury
(Where he put his body on line)
Arm strength
Accuracy
Reading defenses
Etc
Etc
But if somebody else turns out to be the best QB....
Then that guy should start. Period.
