Phillips was a huge part of the win last night. He played 25 minutes in that game and you’d think he’d see more tonight. He played 16 minutes tonight and probably more than half that in the first half. Matt McMahon is a bum

Seems pretty cut and dry to me. And let me add that I don't hate or even dislike the guy. He seems like a good guy and all but I think he just wasn't ready for the SEC.

He was dealt a bad hand. Anyone with any basketball iq could see the players he brought in aren’t sec caliber. He was left with absolutely nothing because of the previous regime. He knows what he’s doing. Let’s give him some time to fix the mess he was left with. It’s not like our program has been cutting down nets lately anyway

I've said all year it can be both...talent deficiencies and underachievement...and I think it is both.
Man, that we just sit back on defense and just try to stay in front (which we don't do very well either) and never try to pressure the ball, trap, press, force turnovers. With the way the offense struggles so much - man you gotta try to do something to create some easy offense....we NEVER do. Very frustrating.
And the lack of development and improvement is very frustrating as well.
I've seen lesser talented LSU basketball teams in my 50 years watching, but I really can't think of any that got less from what they had....well, maybe the Ben Simmons team.

Exhibit A: if can’t readily identify the fact that I was referring to the players that went into the portal (quit LSU, not quit on MM) after Wade was fired, then you could use a little coaching yourself. Be very careful when throwing the word dumb around, it just might actually pertain to you!!
