They were terrible before Les got there.

Different era for Miles. He has more talent on this team than he ever had at OSUsw. Unless LSU loses to WVU, think 4 losses is the worst the team can do.

Remember Gerry D's last game as Vandy coach, a 65-0 loss to Fat Phil.

why would you a 7-5 record?

because he would probably rather start rebuilding now rather than be an 8-4 - 7-5 team from now until Les Miles leaves. If a 7-5 season means we get rid of Les Miles and get a top flight coach in here that can restore us to double digit wins or at least put us in a position to have double digit wins every year then I am okay with a 7-5 season.

34-24-1

Saban's record at Michigan State over 5 years - He had one good year while he was there - his last. Yet, that one worked out pretty good for us.

So Les moves on to a national champion-caliber team next season?

i would agree. i don't think we'll blow out any team this year imo. i hope i'm wrong.

One thing that could save him is beating Bama, the team seems to play up for them so maybe this could be the year.

And what makes you believe we can? An how do you know a top flight coach would even succeed here. It happens all the time when coaches move around and then end up sucking. That's is why i dont wish for 7-5 season cus i dont want to find out.

I would never wish a bad season to get a new coach. Our players don't deserve that kind talk.

Here's the problem with ridding LSU of Miles - huge buyout. This clause would have been stupid no matter who the HC was if for no other reason than it gives the HC all the leverage and the University zero leverage.

So it always comes back to who is gonna whip out that check book and foot the buyout bill, especially given an economy that continues down the hill?

I'll compare Les to Nick all I want. And nobody can stop me.

Here's another stat for you, bro: Miles was 34-6 in his first three years at LSU; Saban was 28-8 in his first three years at Alabama (because 5 wins from his first year were vacated because Alabama is a bunch of dirty rotten cheaters). If you want to add in the dirty rotten cheater wins, then he is still a game behind crappy ole Les at 33-8.

AND, in his first three years, Miles was 3-0 in bowl games and 2-0 in BCS bowls. Saban was 2-1 in bowl games and 1-1 in BCS bowls. Each won one SEC and national title in those first three years. And each made it to two SEC title games, both going 1-1.

So there.

Oh, and both are 2-0 this year.

Actually Saban was 2-0 in Sec games here. Beat Tenn and Georgia. While Miles lost to Georgia and beat Tenn. So Miles is 1-1. But most ppl give Miles a pass for Georgia cause of Katrina.

I got word from the TAF big wigs that $7.5 million is needed to buyout Les Miles. The money has already been raised by the major donors. So if Miles goes 7-5 or worse (maybe even 8-4 with a Bama loss) he is done-zo. But he's 2-0 now with a glimer of hope.... so until then geaux tigers and geaux miles.
