He still needs some control, but I think we have to let him work through it. Kid is electric and his stuff is filthy.

He picked up where he left off.. improving but still a little wild which makes it easy for hitters to sit dead read heater.. he ends up in too many hitters counts where he has to throw his fastball, which is pretty flat despite how hard it is. Time it up and they’ll give it a ride. He needs an effective change up or slider out of that same release point and he’ll be absolutely deadly

Sort of reminds me of Shores last year. He’s got a heater of a fastball, but struggles finding the strike zone inconsistently. I’m encouraged as well that he’ll continue to improve.
