Mett could be the best qb

But he's on the bench and the other two have more experience

I saw enough of him to know that we weren't getting it done with him. Ever since the hit he took from Upshaw, he was never the same.

Hope he bounces back the rest of the way.

I disagree.....

You start Lee and insert JJ for one series in the 2nd quarter. As the menu reads....

Second half should be all Mett.

This is a ridiculous thread. We need both qb's. JJ is situational. Bama's defense is the 2nd best in the country. It's an NFL defense.

We had to not turn the ball over.

We scored 9 points, it's not like JJ came in and set the world on fire to bench the dude who won the other games. If this team is going to win the NC, the way Miles is using them leading into Alabama is the only way to win

Just my 2 cents on the whole matter:

Les can start whoever he wants; BOTH QBs deserve our applause and support.

We've booed both guys over their careers, as well as the guy coaching the team. The time has come for that to be remedied. We are looking at possibly the best team in the history of LSU football, coming back from perhaps the biggest road game in our history, victorious. All of these people should receive a heroes salute next Saturday.

If you have a need to demean either one, you need to go find another hobby, because being a football fan isn't working out for you.

I see where you're going with that and you could be spot on but, IMHO, our qb play has got to improve (even slightly) if we are to win the whole enchalada.

Our QBs are asked to do so little, I really think it doesn't matter.

I think it's more important to show confidence in Lee by putting him right back in there, JJ can have his glory also. We need both those guys. Arky is going to be a huge test and we need both playing at top form.

it was widely known JJ could be the key to facing the Bama D......and it turned out to be correct.

He was the x-factor in a non-typical game and played well considering the foe.

Lee's body of work > one quirky game of the year in regards to QB play.

Les' system is working and will continue to as it HAS BEEN.

Not really. The defense proved it can win games with little offensive input. The offense just needs to be good enough to score more points than the other guy. Average QB play is enough.

I agree with this. You start the game how we've started every game, power running with some play action passes. If that looks like it's not going to work (which it will for the next three games), insert JJ earlier than you normally would and see how his option and roll out passing game works. Use each each QB as needed/desired.

And I hope Mett gets the entire second half.

My problem with JJ is his inconsistency. He is fabulous in his role up to now. I think he is much less consistent than JL when he HAS to pass.
JL has been very good this year, managing and not making mistakes. Bama got in his head Saturday night. He can flush that crap out by starting, getting ahead and then use JJ as we have been.
As to anyone accusing me of being racist: GFY ahead of time!

I think the OP makes some sense ... but no.

"No. You need to get Lee back in the saddle so he can make some throws and flush this bad game away."

The most productive the LSU O has been in the last 4 years is this year, with Jarrett Lee at QB. Huge props to JJ for playing tough and getting us the win against Bama, but we need to "fix" JL and the passing game so we can get back to scoring points against defenses that will look nothing like what we saw Saturday.
