Nah, don’t use inexperience as an excuse.

Other than that, you know exactly what I’m saying.

You really can’t defend this sport at the collegiate level. There’s many reasons LSU will NEVER see days gone by

Disagree. He's not even a first rounder. A 6'11 guy who can't rebound or defend or wants to go into the post and is an average outside shooter is not exactly highly sought after. Potential only goes so far. He started the year on ESPN's big board in the teens...now he's in the mid 40's. He keeps this up he will be deemed undraftable.

He had knocks about his hustle and willingness to bang and get dirty...those knocks are proving true

I mean, I don’t think he is either but I could see it happening. We don’t have anyone who can catch it back to the goal and make a move. I’m so frustrated. I want to quit on this program all together at times

I mean, are you talking about a sport where the teams worth following are led by one and dones?

So Villanova was dominated by freshman? What about Michigan? MSU? UVA? Gonzaga? Or UNC? Or Wisconsin? Even KU has very few one and dones anymore. The most successful programs are built around 3-4 year players and a few guys who are 1-2 year guys. Stop acting like Duke and Kentucky are the only good CBB teams cause they’re the only ones ESPN talk about.

My post wasn't meant to say I expect him to come back. Guys like him and Tremont had every intention of playing this year and being great and going pro. Problem is, it hasn't happened that way and it's 90% their fault. We could potentially be great next year if they played as a team and played within themselves, but that's not how things work at LSU

Nah. I could see a late first because of his ceiling, but he isn’t a lottery pick when stacked up against other guys who have both high ceilings and more consistent production. I really think he could have a Jarell Martin type leap from year 1 to year 2 though.

I am FAR from a college basketball fan, but if your program isn’t recruiting kids that are on NBA draft boards, you aren’t winning shite.

Always gonna be exceptions, but those programs are .... nvmd

Not a subject worth this much time, and barely worth the $8 I spent to see the Memphis game this year.

I still fondly recall the UNLV and LMM games of yesteryear though.

People who speak this way are losers.

Those people lose $8 and a couple hours of their lives that could be more productive, in addition to the time it took to read comments on this board and reply to them

Still less time than I would have wasted actually watching LSU lose by 6 in a game they led by double digits.

Not a big fan

Only basketball I bother to check scores is LSU

Sucks for me, b/c I never missed a game while a student at LSU

But when I go to one game a year, and check the internet after a game, and read how we’re inexperienced and young, I can’t help but point out why no one financially supports a team that once in a while gets a kid that could make championship differences, and then can leave after one season.

Who with a sane mind would invest in that?

I just like the sport and I like lsu sports so I just stick with it.

I get the issues with it. We got talent and if we knew we'd have these guys for a while it would take some ease of this season. But as of now that's just life.

I’m here in Vegas didn’t see all of the game. Have access to the team practices at my leisure. Reid has been a difficult student from day one. He informed everyone involved that he’s one and done and will not conform to what this team needs of him. TW has lost his confidence and the staff has no idea how to get him back right other than to let him play thru it . It’s always been TW’s team you can see when he’s off the floor it’s worse than when he’s on it. The internal struggle is real. I’ll be around the team while they’re here in Vegas and hope the attitude is still positive .Plenty of ball left to play.

Phew. Good. Now we can fire Aleva with no regrets. Lol. We thought that the one good thing he did he did was hire a decent head coach in basketball.

To be fair we got the lead because their dudes got in foul trouble and played super dumb at the end of the first half. Its not like we exactly earned the lead through good play on our end.

This!!!!
Seems our set plays are guards dribble, dribble, dribble, then drive to the basket. Very disappointing!

I guess Will Wade needs a new offensive coordinator to start running basketball jet sweeps. It just never ends with you folks.
