Yeah. Less traffic for game goers.

Your specificity makes me think you’ve experienced your theoretical scenarios many, many times in your life

I skip weddings even when there isn’t a big LSU game. They can enjoy their gift my wife sends them.

Record it and get on with life. If LSU loses you will be glad you didn’t skip wedding for a frickin football game.

It’s not really that big of a deal unless you actually have tickets. We watched the 2022 Alabama game from a wedding reception it was awesome we all got hammered

If you actually have tickets you have an excuse not to go to the wedding

Also depends on who these people are and how close you are to them

Yes, I enjoy wedding receptions. I enjoy them even more when it's me and my friends and even new acquaintances watching a ballgame during them. Which happens pretty regularly if the bride and your wife aren't bitches. Sorry you married a terrible person with terrible friends.

I'm gonna guess that you get invited to MANY weddings, but they're all same sex weddings. Am I right? And lose your red pencil for marking the grammar. This is not English class. Its a message board with a bunch of hung-over football fans. Give it a break.
I have never been to a same sex wedding. But I would assume they are probably even more likely to have the game on, so no problem.

Can you give me any tips on becoming a better contrarian on here?

Sure! Just try being right and logical and reasonable sometimes. Think before you post. That apparently makes you a contrarian on this board.

Yep. You should also get tested for adult onset ASD.

I've had the same thing happen to me several times; once each for Georgia, Ole Miss and Alabama games. Needless to say, I skipped all three weddings. If people get mad, that's on them. They should know better.

a top matchup of LSU / Ole Miss

An LSU team that hasn’t been truly tested and whose defense looks unimpressive versus an underperforming Ole Miss team? The game in not meaningless but not far from it when compared to other past matchups.

Grow up and go to the wedding and celebrate friends and family.
