Youre a pussy and your kids will be pussies. And Im 35 with a kid, and don't participate in the chant. If youre teaching your children to be offended by mere words, then our first amendment truly is in danger - the PC culture will win out, and this continuing to mob lynch people and judge them based on a few words instead of their character of a lifetime of actions is scarier than a few vulgar words.
Take a few minutes to be a decent parent, and teach them the difference between adult words and everyday speech. Boundaries are healthy for your kids, and part of good parenting. Either youre lazy, full of fear, or your kids are all special needs and cant understand the difference.
If its the latter, then my apologies, otherwise this is your problem, not a few small words...

Was contemplating starting a similar thread/campaign suggesting that it be retired. It was very embarrassing to hear it shouted numerous times at innocent Clemson fans after the championship game. I like to think we have more class than that, but judging from the number of down votes it is clear that we just don't. Are there that many 18 year olds among us here who just discovered the use of bad language as though it was a new toy or phone app? We proudly tell posters from other schools to come to our tailgates and share our hospitality, then abuse them with vulgarity. Shameful.

I think the collective chant is cringe worthy. Not offended in the least, but it sounds trashy af.
LSU doesn’t want to be represented on TV by telling people to suck a dick. I know that’s hard for juveniles and adults who haven’t grown up to comprehend, but it’s a fact.
Love the song, but if it keeps us from looking like immature trash, I can do with out it.

I don’t care for it either and wish they would stop playing it. For the ones that are making the comments about you not liking it ,it’s apparent that they are kids and don’t have kids yet. When they do they will feel different about many things they believe makes them cool.just because the small children hear things while growing up don’t make this ok.

That chant may have been amusing to me at 18 or 19 years old. I doubt I would have participated in it even then, but it might have been funny for a minute.
The fact that you have 30 and 40-something adults (or even older) who still chant that like they’re teenagers is pretty embarrassing. They’re trash. Even worse, they don’t even care that they’re trash.

I've been going to LSU games for 30 years and very rarely hear people barf out obscene profanity. It's basically only the student section.
It's a classless chant. Signs of the times though. With every passing year we become a more vulgar obscene society.
I remember as a kid it going from "LSU" then when I was older to "Kick their a**" then to "Kick their a**, and beat the s**t out of them".
I never imagined an entire section of students would yell STTDB. But Perverse kids yell perverse things. It's as simple as that. It's embarrassing for the university.

You won’t prevent a bunch of rowdy college students from chanting whatever they want, but by all means go ahead and keep your blood pressure up worrying about it.

I love, love, looove the song, bit I’m ready to retire the chant. When it was just some students, I thought it was funny and didn’t mind so much. Now that it’s spread to the rest of the stadium...it’s getting embarrassing. I think some of you have heard it said it so much that you’ve stopped realizing how gross it is to scream about sucking dicks in public. My son is 18, I’m not worried about his sensitive ears, it’s adults participating in the chant that’s embarrassing.

It’s tired. It’s cheesy. Pretty much embarrassing at this point. In the end, not a good look at all for LSU. Nobody else thinks it’s cool or trendy.
