If lee played an inferior qb that was white over a superior qb that was black, he'd be labeled as a racist coach by the fans and the media.

Miles could have started Mett if we want to give somebody reps. JJ has 3 seasons + of Reps .......

Miles wants JJ as starter - period. THe AL performance was enough to shove JL into the bench.

"This is Jarrett Lee's team, he is the starting quarterback, and doing anything else would be irresponsible on my part." Les Miles, September 2011

Ah, yes, the ad hominem attack. Well played.

I think the disgust should be much more for someone who trys to label anyone who wants Lee to start over JJ a racist. Is there racists who support Lee sure is there racists who support JJ you betcha.

However that is the fringe the overwhelming amount of people who dont want JJ starting is due to JJ's own performances. He was the 100th rated qb out of 116 in the country and 11th out of 12 in the SEC and the fact he has no real clue about how bad he was. He said he actually thought he played well versus McNeese St when he put up 4 total yards and after the season said he thought he played well. He was the second to worst qb in the SEC.

Get over the racist stuff dude JJ crapped the bed 8 or 9 games last year and kept on starting and Lee has played very well this year going into the Bama game and has one bad game and looses his starting job!

Are u honestly going to say u dont see a double standard there?

The disgust for JJ that exists with so many people is irrational and ought to embarrass any Tiger fan.

This

Kid leaves it all on the field for 4 yrs and this is the level of appreciation he gets. Apparently not only do you have to be flawless as a QB, you have to avoid having perceived blank stares, have a throwing motion that pleases everyone, and never look as though you're blaming someone else for a bad play. All of these are among the "supposed" flaws of JJ's. They both have flaws, and we'll need both of them to win it all. Why can't the fans have the same attitude towards this as the guys living it....the players.

Its the same way with Obama. According to THEIR way of thinking, a black man in a high up position can do no wrong. And if you think otherwise that makes you racist. So sick of this absolute bullshite.

And the more of this crap you post, the more you confirm THEIR suspicions.

So you're saying Les is a racist? It's apparent that he has been looking for the occasion to reinsert JJ as the starter.

As of the date of that quote, he spoke the truth. There is nothing inherent in that quote that means Lee will always be the starter.

Truth is- both QBs are bafflIng. At times appear in sync, confident and on time. At others, I'm left scratching my head and saying JJ's safety, for example. JL's first pass this week. Both were atrocious decisions against weaker competition. Thank goodness we only need a QB to play decent, due to our defense and depth and talent at RB.

Both JL and JJ have "won" games for LSU. Both have looked lost, confused and indecisive at times.

If there is a controversy, it is why Mett has not been given more chances this year against weaker teams. Let's finish out this year, win the BCS and try to repeat next year.

We only have a controversy b/c the JL fans are more interested in JL starting and getting most of the snaps. They are all ....LSU is winning and both of these QB's will be here for at most 4 more games yet I have heard some JL supporters say they won't support the team anymore if JL doesn't start well GTFO then...See ya and have a nice day!

And Lee promptly lost the starting job by playing awful against Bama. Maybe he'll start against Ole Miss. Maybe not. All I know is that I'll avoid the Rant if he doesn't because this place will be in full meltdown.

I'm never going to stop rooting for the team because of a quarterback rotation decision. However, I really hope that one of the QBs just looks better than the other without a shadow of a doubt against Ole Miss so we can have one primary guy.
