Exactly. There are a few other teams that could be mentioned in that "neigborhood" including LSU.

No matter how you want to interpret this,
it does NOT say we are not a BCS powerhouse or that these schools are.

You are creating a storyline

BCS bowls?

When? 06,08,09....

Florida - 1999,2001,2002,2007,2009,2010

FSU - 1999, 2000,2001,2003,2004,2006

I believe the years above represent the year the bowl was played and not the year of the season.

No worries. Believe me...I would not put this past an ESPN writer, which is why your thread caught my eye.
But if I am gonna be pissed, I at least want to be justifiably pissed.
If the article stated what you THOUGHT it did,
I was planning on writing some nasty emails!
Rantards thrive on this stuff :)!

They've played in three I believe. An Orange, a Sugar and the BCSCG. Still you make a good point in that they've played in less than LSU.

I caught it. That would be during Bobby Bowden's second tenure.

LSU is 1 of 2 teams to own 2 BCS titles.

Did this article somehow take back one of our crystal trophies?

Who else with 4 BCS game wins and 2 BCS titles were left out?? All elite programs were mentioned. My point is, LSU is elite and it pisses me off we are left off every list now. And why? The way Les wins, the media views Saban the reason we won, etc.?? What's your opinion?

My opinion is that the pathetic and embarrassing inferiority complex of LSU fans is rearing it ugly head yet again in this thread.

They still look at 2003 as "shared" and 2007 the first time a two loss team won it. It will always be like that get used to it. I love to hear them disparage the tigers then the supposed superior team gets KICKED in the teeth
03 lsu won the BCSNC also in 07 in 01&06 we went to bcs games nuff said.that pisses me off when people mention the two losses, any other team that would have went in our place would have had two lossesd also, except for haw.and we all saw what a sec team did to them.

Site says they played in the Orange in 2000. As I said I think they show the year the game was played so it would have been the 1999 season.

Ghols, are you a college English teacher. Can I get you for a tutor?

If you don't like the topic, GTFO.

A lead in stating that Oregon is BUILDING a BCS Powerhouse and then listing teams with already BUILT mansions, etc... has symmetry. Do I need to go into more detail to explain how they are related?

And BILL, who is left out?? Quit bitching about the topic and answer the question?? Who is left out in LSU's area??

we've slipped into mediocrity as signified by our 8-8 SEC record over the past 2 seasons and by our being voted to finish 4th in the West by the all-knowing media.

Bill, FSU. Is that what you're thinking? Maybe. Who else?? Miami. Okay. I get your point. But, LSU still has 2 titles and only Florida can say that too.

My opinion is that Saban screwed our cred. Let's win this week and another BCS game, then maybe we'll get some respect.

FSU has played in 6 BCS bowl games. Miami, Michigan and VT have played in 4 - The same as LSU. Does that answer the question?

You'd think so, but based on Espn rhetoric I'm not sure you even need to play bcs-calibre teams in the season
