"Figure head on the sideline. Flynn didn't need coaching/babysitting...Pelini on Def...nothing needed to be done. Except he did coach us up to lose at UK, and the Arkansas game...backed into the Nat'l Championship. If you don't see it now....wow..."
So Miles was a figure head for the wins, but coached us during the losses? I love it.

He's a Damn Strong Recruiter but he needs to manage the time better and coach a little better

You just made one of the worst post in history..
1. Mike signed near everyone in state we wanted and not one player we didn't sign made AA elsewhere.
2. the talent in state was near nothing, 1986-1990 was very weak due to prop 48.
3. LSU would not let him recruit JuCo
4. Mike goes out of state and signs some very good classes on paper (see FSU of late) only to have the #1 ng, olb, etc all fail.
5. Bill left him near nothing on DL and only by getting a DB form the SMU death nail did our secondary hold up in 88-89 somewhat. Also lb was thin and we got a back lb form SMU too.
6. Every LSU fan wanted LSU to recruit Miss, Fla and Texas at the time due to the in state weakest, which Mike did.
7. hindsight is 20/20 but you still can not make up recruits that are not there.
8. LSU had been losing ground around the state even in the Mac days, Mac lost a great deal of talent instate to Bama, Texas A&M, ND, etc.
a. Without Jerry's super recruiting Bill would have been a nobody.
9. LSU never had a great recruiting base in NO until Saban shows up.
10. P.s. do not ask about how Saban recruits, you will not like the answer.

Every thing Miles does is dropping off. His coaching and now recruiting.
It's best not to talk about stuff you have no clue about.

You don't compile the resume and record he has over his career by being an average coach.
I am in no way an expert on coaching, but the national analysts and his peers seem to disagree. From what I heard this year, the coaching world and national pundants find Miles average.

This was a major factor in the decline of our program. But Archer wasn't the only LSU coach to commit this mistake. I believe the reason for the large amount of non-LA players this year is that the crop was thin. Next year will be much better.
