the fact that we won this game tonight shows me that our pen isn't good.

Of course this isn't all the pen but we gave up 5 runs in 16 innings.

It amuses me that there are so many people on here running their mouth that doesn't have a clue what they are talking about when it comes to baseball. No, our pen hasn't been performing well as of late but doesn't mean they are terrible. Every team goes through stages throughout the season. This team is capable of being really great.

Whats even more amusing is that some posters are arrogant enough to run their mouth thinking that THEY know more about baseball than others.

The bull pen isn't as good as years past but our hitting is better then years past. We just need to find a closer who can close out 1 and 2 run leads in the 8th and 9innings. Thought we found him but he has struggled against better competition lately. Who will step up and take it? Idk

From watching the Kentucky series and the Thursday night bama game I think Dunn needs to put more pressure on our relievers in practice. They did not look prepared at all.

We have a very strong veteran line up so don't give him too much credit. Just last season everybody was praising Dunn and now not so much? We are very young pitching this year. We just need some experience to get our feet wet and we will be right back where we need to be...throwing strikes and getting outs. Be patient because Dunn is one of the brst and will get the most out of these guys. Just give it a little more time and experience.

For the most part, it's not the young pitchers who are not pitching worth a damn. Seems like once we walk one, then the barn door opens up & we can't throw a strike. We've walked batters but too many are being walked with 4 straight balls. And too many with 2 outs. Name one reliever you have absolute confidence right now?

I agree it's everyone but it's still a very youthful squad. I have confidence in person as much as anyone as of right now with stallings next and maybe Newman third. Pitchers can slump just like hitters...hopefully these main three can step it up.

I forgot to mention Norman. I think he's turning a corner right now and can be a big part moving forward.
