Dear God, what are you talking about? If you don’t mind please list the names of the signees this year that you think are unworthy and who we would have realistically replaced them with. While you are at it, list the kids from last year’s class that you would not have signed please sir. Add, of course, the kids you would have realistically signed in their place. Don’t just pick a name that signed elsewhere. What kids did we loose because of the staff that was in place last year. And please remember what you have done in your post in disparage the young men who committed to this university, a university you claim to want to “help “. I wonder how those kids would feel if they read your post and how exactly does criticizing them make others want to come here in the future? Please be specific sir, you seem to have all of the answers. Take as long as you like to answer, but put “your money where your mouth is “ and give all of us the lists.

So, you would have not even recruited Greedy Williams is that correct! Nor would you have recruited Devin White at linebacker, correct?

You think I'm asking you to trust me? frick no.
I'm saying that LSU has a very good recruiting track record and, until proven wrong, I'm going to give LSU's talent evaluators and recruiters the benefit of the doubt.
Obviously, a shitty recruiting class is easy to see. But the differences you are discussing are very minor and I don't believe the recruiting services are good enough that that is within their margin of error.

white was the 5th rated rb in the

Greedy was 3 stars my friend and White was rated 2 stars at the LB position not RB. His ratings plunged after his arrest. Are you aware of the arrest?

neither were outside of the top 50 at their position.

Okay. You might be right there. If so, I stand corrected. I thought you were saying we shouldn’t recruit 3 stars. LSU did recruit White as a LB and received a lot of criticism for recruiting him as a LB as well as recruiting him at all after his arrest.

Lost in translation I guess. I happen to WANT to talk to people that have different perspectives than I do because I can learn something. It’s the irrational, angry posters on these sites that I just don’t understand. To me it comes across as knocking the kids who signed when people say that our staff can’t recruit well. How would you feel if you had just signed to play at LSU and you read here that our staff can’t recruit good enough players to compete? Just asking as to how that might affect their own excitement. I know it would insult me as a new recruit.

To add to the Greedy thing-one of the reasons I don’t measure the class solely on stars these guys get but only as a general guideline. He was 3 stars by Rivals and not even the highest rated DB on his high school team!! Being from Shreveport, a few of us watched him play and would laugh at the rating systems not giving him higher marks. The ratings gurus are valid and know more than the rest of us but sometimes they do miss. Sometimes these guys never see them actually play but just evaluate them at camps (if they go) or a few minutes of preselected form. It’s not a perfect science by any means.
