"I'll always remember that game and that moment."

Amen to that. I can't believe it's been 17 years. I was watching the game by myself and just went ape. My phone - land line, of course - exploded and starting ringing off the wall. The greatest single moment in my time watching LSU sports.

It's amazing how far some of the homers went back then.

I watch this, and then I roam around and watch videos from 2000, 2009, and such. And then I think of the last few seasons.

frick the a-holes who got rid of those bats. They were perfect in 2009. I miss that ping like an old relative who passed away.

I can't stand the sound of the new bats. We should bite the bullet and go to wood.

that really strong ping sound was great.

See Ochinko's homer in game 3 of the 2009 CWS. Very sharp, loud ping.

New sound is awful

thanks Frat

I remember exactly where I was. A buddy of mine and I were fishing lake Concordia. We were in for lunch and I was blackening bass and smoking up the little camper we were in. We stayed in to watch the end of the game and when Morris hit it, I thought we were going to flip the camper we were jumping up and down so much. Sweet memories. :)

I always thought it was odd there were so many white shirts and so few purple and gold in the stands where the ball was hit but they all were jumping up and down like they were LSU fans

And the guy that either caught it or was right next to it was wearing Crimson/Maroon

most Omaha folks have a long-engrained hatred for all things Miami Hurricane. That goes back to Miami-NU football matchups in the 80s, I believe.

This.

Jason Williams was on deck. If Warren hadn't finished it, Jason would have.

Sounds like they're hitting the ball with a wet, rolled-up newspaper.

Kevin Shipp...I forgot he was on the 96 team.

Played football against him in High School; everyone was afraid of him LOL
