You’re kidding yourself if you think Perkins getting washed out of every play is making this defense better.

I’m pretty sure Guillory was graded higher than Maason Smith last year.

I’m not saying Perkins doesn’t deserve to play. I’m saying I want him used in a way that most helps LSU win games, not how he will be used in the NFL.

Two different defensive coaches. One noted for development of lbrs.

Maybe, it’s Perkins.

You’re kidding yourself if you think that’s accurate.

The criticism from the fans about him is equal to criticizing Jayden Daniels after 2 games last year. I’m sure you’ll change your tune pretty quickly

& he is? You think he’s not bc he only has 12 tackles after 2 games?

Totally possible. If that is the case, then put him at another position or pull him off the field. If there is another player that is better suited to be a 3 down linebacker, they need to be playing.

He was literally the lowest graded on LSU’s team in the Nicholls game.

Maason sucked last year no matter how you try to spin it. NFL drafts on potential and there are dozens of stupid picks every single year.

Is it possible that they have tried to do what Perkins wants to do but he isn't capable?

Here’s the thing, just because Perkins “wants” to play a certain position, the coaches aren’t obligated to play him there especially if it’s detrimental to the defense.

If Perkins demanded to play ILB but isn’t capable, let him transfer and suck at that position at another school. And it’s a bad move by BK if that’s what happened and he gave in to the player.

His best spot is probably starting in place of Burns. He would be deadly there with a designed blitz package for him.

I agree with that BUT They probably had to make some promises to keep him from transferring. If you promised him ILB, you have to let him try it and can't bail after 1 game. I do think they are looking into him being the star based on what BK said about whether they are better in Nickel or with 3 LBers on the field. Perkins being the Star would be the extra LBer.

So did our whole defense.

But we get recruits like McKinley & Breaux to sign bc we can say “look, he was a 2nd round pick last year”

Watch Carter the Power's film studies. He not only doesn't make us better, he gets in other player's way and makes us worse.

I am not saying bench him. I am saying use him in the slot so he can play in space. He gets lost in the wash at ILB.

SC is scheming their offense right now specifically to slow him down. Kiffin will do the same in a few weeks. Our defense is worse without him on the field

Right. It’s Nicholls. He should have dominated. I’m giving you evidence as to why he is not being used in the best way that helps LSU and you are telling me to ignore it because why?

I would honestly want nothing more than to change my tune on Harold in the middle of this defense. That would mean he turned a corner finally. We have multiple games of tape on him that shows he’s not built for the position.

Will you change your tune when they trot him out at the star position for the majority of snaps when we hit the SEC schedule?

Not really, it’s a game that doesn’t really matter & hard to get motivated for. Players get caught going through the motions sometimes.

He made an impact against USC, but not against Nicholls so he must suck

Ah yes, so we can get more highly rated recruits, use them incorrectly, and go 9&3 again. But hey we got a few 2nd round draft picks

It’s pretty easy to see the best inside lbs are the Weeks brothers

West is probably the best inside LSU has

Whit very versatile

Perkins is a strong safety….he could be incredible…

Why should I, an LSU fan who wants to watch LSU football, give two shits about the NFL draft?
