I agree that he is not th best on Gameday but bottom 5 in the SEC is a stretch. I'd say he is average at Gameday coaching.

Perkins and Nuss both decided NOT to go to the NFL to play for him. We rarely lose transfers that showed promise and you can't be a good recuiter, as you have already noted he is, if "No one wants to play for you".
I think Game day coaching is his worst attribute as a HC BUT I think he does everything else really well. From recruiting to roster managements to development to adapting to the rapidly changing college landscape, he has it all under control.

Because they took their feet off the gas. LSU pressed the gas and spluttered the entire game. See the difference!!
They then threw the ball twice in their last drive of the game with less than a minute remaining.
