I know what you meant, but Jackson was clearly—clearly—better than Toliver this year. Toliver’s a freak though, and has the higher ceiling.

Jackson couldn't even hold down a corner. Much better in the nickel though

That’s probably fair. Jackson was a more productive DB than Toliver this year. Howboudat?

Naw. Certainly not clearly. It was close. All 3 were good

His speed is off the charts and that is a skill that cannot be taught at any level. Probably a mid to late second round grade will be made in him, but hope he comes back for Senior year.

Another year at LSU might help

No way he is a first rounder. Look I love our players but his cover skills and tackling is not even close to some of our previous first rounders. Those dogging on Tre White are full of shite. He was truly a shutdown corner DJ is not. Yes he has speed and athleticism but just doesn't have natural god given ability like Greedy Williams already exhibits. Just my .02

what are you talking about. I'm saying Tre White was one of the best players we ever had. Jackson is not a first round pick this year

I've been doing this a lot longer than you. He does not have great cover skills, had bad hands, and is out of position trailing a play a lot.
Did I say he would go in the first round? SMH. Some of you make my point daily in here. Dig in, stick your tits out and move the the criteria to fit your agenda.
He does have great cover skills and is trailing the receiver by design more times than not. Almost always he is trailing by design when he has safety help and/or is in press coverage. Taking away the short throw and using his speed to catch up on longer throws. His speed, agility and quickness allow him to do things at corner others simply wouldnt dare do. No one had sustained success against him for 2 years. And I mean no one, including Saban with 2 weeks to prepare twice with Ridley. Louisville with a Heisman QB and A&M with a plethora of weapons including a 5th yr Sr QB, all world Christian Kirk, quick Speedy Noil and big Ricky Seals-Jones, last year. Its not like LSU had a great pass rush either.
Many games he was completely avoided, with QB's and OC's not even looking in his direction.
This is why an NFL team may take him in the 1st round.
Who picked on him in college with any success?
Lets hear this.....

Absolutely hilarious...... The reason that Jackson was moved to nickel was the same reason Tre White was moved to nickel last year. SMH. Do i need to tell you this or can you figure it out on your own?
The ignorance in here is mind boggling.
I'll make a year ban bet than he gets drafted higher than Toliver, if they both come out this year.
How big a boy are you?
Before you twist this post to fit your agenda....
I love Toliver and think he gets a bad rap in here as well. His coverage skills are excellent. He can stick to receivers as well as anyone in the SEC.

I just don't see it. Maybe teams just start drooling over his speed. I'd assume he is a Day 2 pick
