Based on how they dress, who would you consider a bigger menace to society, Jamarcus, or Ben Roethlisberger?
And based on reality, who would you consider the bigger menace to society, JR or Rapelisberger?

I guess since through your honesty you've admitted that it is perfectly fine to you "to judge a book by it's cover" and ignore the actions of a person. Also your generalization of all black people doesn't help.

Excellent points..
A follow up question...Do you think it would help JR's public image if he dressed, worked, and conducted himself the way Payton Manning does? Do you think this kind of image would help his confidence? Become a better player? Encourage an organization to continue to invest time and money into this kind of leader?
Who do you want to be?

maybe he'll be picked up as a backup for a decent team and be forced to earn a spot

He's still a very young man. Obviously, he has not handled his first professional experience well. We mature (read: old) Tiger fans will hope he learns and grows to make the most of his very considerable talents.

Well, please don't make assumptions from a quick post.. I apologize if I communicated that...
And if you claim to have never had similar thoughts of white's or other races...then I don't believe you.
I am saying it's wrong to judge, but I am also saying it happens (all people make judgments), because we are all sinners...

i like how people still can't get over him wearing a big chain and a goofy sweater to that LSU game. yal act like he dressed that way that night to spite lsu, like he doesn't wear big arse chains ALL THE TIME.
The sweater was fine The big chain was fine. The BAMA elephant form of jewelry on the end of the chain and on top of the seater was not fine. He was intentionally making a statement that was not in favor of LSU. What else is not fine is your poorly thought out statement/opinion that it was just any old chain.

It is possible you made a judgment about me without knowing me?
Why does this surprise you?

Imo, the best thing that could've ever happened to JR would've been if he had had a strong disciplinarian in his life when he was growing up. Just like Shaq had with his step dad.
Unfortunately, JR didn't have that. His real dad was a total bum, and his uncles both had chips on their shoulder, and passed that mindset on to JR. They may have loved him, but they also ruined him.

Would he be a better person if he was wearing a Louisiana boy chain?
Would that make you feel less insecure, therocketscientist?

Pretty sure thats the definition of talent
A surprisingly large number of people don't know what talent is. If it can't be expressed in terms of a single number, isn't related to talent apparently. By NFL standards, JR isn't that talented.

No kidding. What was the statement he was making? Promoting a friend's company on the biggest national stage he could think of.. THAT'S his crime?

Perhaps but being able to throw the ball 80 yards is definitely a talent as related to being a quarterback in the NFL. It's not the only talent you need to succeed though.

It was obviously a sophisticated plan by Jamarcus and his crew to systematically destroy lsu football
duh!!!

DBG...Do you really fail to see the error in JR first big public appearance after striking it big?

It's not needed at all and it barely makes up for lack of field vision, footwork, quick and accurate decision making etc. How do you measure that? You just have to watch someone do it. You can work on it and improve but most of us can dedicate 10 hours a day to all of it and still never look like Brees. Why? Because Brees has talent in all of those areas and then some.

Yea, he didn't dress like middle aged, white, republican men think he should dress like
is that about right?

Although I would not have liked it, it would have shown his identifying the University he attended on the night they were playing for a National Championship. With that said, the whole outfit was a bit ridiculous to me and I rather he not be interviewed at all. Leaving the chain and pendant at home would have been my preference.
