So then what exactly would a coach fix if J Lee has the mechanics of a Brett Favre?

Did someone seriously make this comparison?

You have been acting like a dumbass for atleast the last month straight, why are you acting like you know what hell you are talking about?

Zero substance. Shocking.

Lee's and Favre's mechanics really aren't comparable at all.

Jarrett Lee will be invited to an NFL camp. The young man has character. He has a very strong and an accurate arm. He lacked a QB coach up until this year. The Tigers are 1 play away of needing him. Injuries happen. We have a QB who will be asked to run and take hits. The Tigers could actually get to Mett. with the brutal schedule that we have. We need them all to improve and play well. They are all Tigers. But I will bet that Lee at least makes a practice squad member for some NFL team.

I'd love to take that bet. I'll go back into my hole for 8 months again if he makes a practice squad as a quarterback.

I don't doubt that.

Why do people keep claiming this kid is accurate? He may have a decent arm but its not like he's Favre or Russell in arm strength

Not to many people are...hell Peyton Manning probably couldn't match Russell in arm strength.

Like I've been saying, he's been elevated to hero status on this board.

I have always been a Lee fan...he just got thrown into a bad situation as a freshman, and it hurt him mentally. Like others have already said, he has issues with consistancy. He will complete 7 passes in a row, and then miss 5 straight passes.

We lose the UF and Tenn games without Lee saving Jefferson's arse

If Lee wanted to play in the NFL on a practice squad I don't see why he wouldn't. He's not that bad of a QB.

A comeback that spanned two games? One of which wasn't all that great?

I mean I get the fact that he had a tough time as a Freshman (for which I place the majority of blame at the feet of Crowton), and played well in some clutch situations against Tennessee and Florida. But for most of his career (including the majority of 2010) he hasn't been real good. I have no problem with people calling it like it is, but it has just crossed over into the extreme at this point.

I am a huge fan of JL for many reasons, most of which have been mentioned here (not assuming the fetal position, etal).

That said, I refuse to "holla at ya boy". I'm a caucazoid.

JL reminds me of the ugly chick in high school that has a hot older sister. They all know she is ugly but do her anyways because they convince themselves that she will breakout one day and become this mega hottie!

Point? I am saying that JL gets a lot of people making excuses for him and we all just sit here waiting his BREAKOUT season and it WILL NOT happen. He has one good game and three bad ones.

JJ had 3 good games and 9 bad ones, and idiots on here act like we will with the SEC with him. All press reports today say JJs still inaccurate as hell, and will probably get the happy feet when the pocket breaks down. Same ole, same ole.

Last yr LSU loses 5 games without Lee. The Bama game? JJ leaves a 2 and 13 for Lee to pick up, with 2:49 remaining. Bama had just marched 74 yds down the field in 2:04. No way JJ picks up the 13 yds, because he thinks 3rd and long is just too diffuicult (his words, not mine).

And when has JJ picked one up for Lee? uh, never. Troy, JJ pulled after 4 series. Ole Miss, Lee got injured down by 18, we lost by 18. Tenn, JJ doesnt call for the snap. UT penalty and Ridley win it.

Expect 4 to 5 losses without Lee getting PT ala 2009

LSU only losses 2, at most three, games last year without Lee. Don't late your hatred for JJ get in the way of being objective.
