He can transfer to Ole Miss. Masoli is done and they QB situation is horrible. He should be able to get a fair shake there.

I agree w a few others. Lee never had a shot. I think if Lee actually got the time that JJ got he would have done well. I think JJ was 10-19 throwing last night....not great numbers! I very glad we won and that we actually threw the ball down field. However, he still made several bad throws that he should have made. Regardless of who starts next hopefully we'll keep throwing the ball downfield like we did friday! 2011 is looking like a great season!

He has had over 400 pass attempts in three years.

If he cant seperate himself from JJ with 400 opportunities.....how much more of a shot should he get?

He had flashes and always resorted back to poor throws flailing away on his back foot.

As opposed to JJ watching his primary receiver and then throwing it to him in triple coverage

JL has made a few bad throws. There really is not that great a diff in their ability to throw it. But JJ can make plays with his legs, why would you play a less mobile QB when others tools are about the same?

C'mon. You think the coaches are holding 2008 against him ?

I am one of the only people who support both JJ and JL. Positigers crapped all over Lee and negatigers did the same to JJ. We needed both of them to get to 11 wins. I am grateful to both players. Their job is to play their best. They did that. The coaches decide the rest.

He looked very happy last night though.

I thought he had a look like if Miles asked him to park the van, it'd be found the next morning in ditch someone with, "JJ and GC must give good head." You know, a look kinda like that.

He won't transfer his senior season, he will go back to working out in the off season so we can hear reports of how improved he and JJ are. However, neither has shown improvement on the field on Saturdays. The truth is he lost Miles trust in 08 and will not start for LSU again unless someone is hurt.
Nothing wrong with coming back his senior season and helping the team fight for a potential championship. Which as a back up with experience he is doing by pushing the starter to play better.

It is too late for him. He only has a year of eligibility left.

He didn't look upset last night. He looks like a team player. Why assume he must transfer. Someone has to play second team QB.

No, he's a Tiger. Accept no substitute. Best wishes to the man!

Frankly, I don't care if he's gotten a fair shot or not, or what his or JJ's "feelings" are; I love the kid for being a Tiger and sticking it out for LSU when there was every reason in the world to transfer. But I don't particularly care about that, either.

What I care about is that our starter has been inconsistent at best for 3 years, been injured more than once, and Lee is a better option than McCartney, Mettenberger (until he actually sets foot on an LSU field and makes a play), and whoever else we might happen to sign in this year's class. I don't believe we can fill his scholarship with someone who would be more useful to the 2011 team than a second scholarship QB that has taken a snap in a major college football game, especially one with multiple starts and wins in major games under his belt.

Even if he never gets significant playing time, being on a National Championship Team (again) is nothing to sneeze at. I'm sure Marcus Randall has pretty fond memories of that 2003 season.

Whatever he decides to do, he's shown way more heart and committment to LSU than anyone has ever shown on any internet message board (absolutely including myself), and I'll hope for the best for him . . . unless he ends up playing against LSU, in which case he's just more Tiger Bait.
