This was my first time at Auburn, and I've seen all I need to see. I found the older fans to be friendly, and some country boys helped us set up our tailgate. They ate with us and watched football, and we had a good time. But without fail we got treated nothing but rudely and offensively by the frat kids. The "war eagle" taunts and even "go corndogs" wasn't offensive. But the "f'ing Cajuns" and "F you corndogs" and "you think Gustav was bad" crap was really unnecessary. Something about adding that word takes it from ribbing to offensive. Asked a couple guys where there crystal "balls" were and then they just say, "keep walking."

We sat in an Auburn season ticket section and it was borderline dangerous the hostility we dealt with. Some young, flat faced frat kid sitting behind me with his little sorority girlfriend was talking a LOT of trash under the cover of the protection the crowd offered him that he would have NEVER said to me or either of my other buddies on the street. Wanted to crush the little turd, calling us F'ing Cajuns, and shaking his gay as pom pom over my head. What's with all the AU guys shaking pom poms the whole game, by the way?

Anyway, if UF is worse than AU, no need to go there.

I hate all that music they play through the pa system the mike'd up cheer leaders. I saw them even moving the band around to diff parts of the field to play? War eagle tigers & a new one go blue. Why do they sing that dumb song living on a prayer. It reminds me of a d 2 program moving to d1 & needed ideas to make the place rowdy and loud all that crap going on the fans depend on dj zack to fire up the place. fans are ok but all that other crap sucks.

If you hate the Jordan-Hare experience, don't go back. That will make room for another LSU fan to go and enjoy what is one of the best atmospheres in college football.
The idea of moving the bad around isn't bad. Fans around the stadium get to see/hear them.
LSU's students seem to really enjoy singing Living on a Prayer. The LSU fans sang it last night too.
Do you hate when LSU blasts music over the p.a. before kickoff and throughout baseball games?

I just found it very ironic last night that a team with a struggling offensive system would get pumped up to it's fans singing "Livin on a prayer"

The same thing happens at LSU, if not more. If the ribbing you took at Auburn offended you, don't go to Florida. Florida, Ole Miss, & UGA are far worse than anything you'll experience at Auburn.

Uhhh....we sing living on a prayer too...But, the PA system sucks, and all you can hear during their songs are the bass. I do like their New HD big screen though...we definitely need to invest...other than those things, take the shitty Aweburnt fans out, and it's a great place! Had great cell phone reception throughout the game though which I don't have at Death Valley

p.s. The whole orange/blue cheer??? Definitely stole that from UF

Canned music? And bad canned music at that. It sucked. The stadium was loud. We had no problem with AU fans before or after the game except the stupid corn dog and LSU WHO stuff. By the way....that's way overdone and way tired.

Yes, that piped in music is kind a Hillbilly mentality to me, but what is even more irritating
to me is the gayness of Tubby walking out of the shoot all holding arms, like they have to
prop him up are something. I would like to knock that perpetual smirk off his face and last night LSU had him fit to be tied...the smirk was
gone.....

I think Jordan Hare is the 2nd best stadium atmosphere behind Tiger Stadium. They really get into the entire game and don't seem to let up. I love watching night games at Jordan Hare on TV.

I guess you are right. Though I have been to Ole Miss and at least my experience that one trip was very positive. Guess I just had a bad experience.

Why, in the name of Christ do people go to games & feel like they have to yack on the phone is baffling. Your friends & family know you're there, they're likely watching, the game was exciting, and crowd noise has to make it difficult to hear. Cell phone users at games :blah:

The place is the poopchute of the SEC. The people jack it to a damn eagle. Its a damn bird people. Get over it. Auburn is the Tigers, but their fans beat it to a bird. Just plain stupid.

But we did used to have the cheerleader with the mic leading the 2 bits cheer. Glad that's gone.

I found that guy to be the worst of a long night in "shaker-ville"...

are Auburn's cheerleaders incapable of learning cheers beyond those they learned in the 6th grade??

And listening to tiger bait 5 million times at TS is witty and fresh? It's all a matter of perspective. As to the one fan complaining about frat boys, do you think the LSU variety are telling visitors to have a good game and drive home carefully? Trust me, they are not.

So you didn't think that was a fantastic & exciting atmosphere for a college football game last night? Both crowds were into the game the entire time. There was as much consistent noise in that place as Tiger Stadium. Perhaps not as loud as TS at times, but from kickoff to final horn, last night is tough to beat.
I'm sure many people view the parading of a caged cat around our football as stupid too.
