When someone asks him a question about HIS play or HIS thoughts, WTF should he do?
This isn't always the case. JJ "lost" a lot of the fan base after saying (More than once) how well he played following obviously horrible games. His PR problem stemmed from this, and has continued. I don't know how in the hell you can't see this, but when you are buried so deeply...
For his own good he needs help with his PR or give up public speaking.

of course he wants to start - I bet if you asked Rivers he'd say the same thing. If a player on LSU's roster doesn't want to start then I don't want them on this team.
So, you're JJ and you've caused the team a half season of distractions, and Les is already on record as saying JLee will continue to start and you will get snaps, but you're gonna go ahead and yap about wanting to start instead of saying, "I trust the coaches to put me in when they feel I can help the team -- whatever can help the team, I'm all for it."
yes, it's a distraction and not leader qualities. it's selfishness. (more da same)

he is not pleading his case but rather just answering questions. If inbreed retards can't handle him speaking then that is on them, NOT JJ, Les Miles, or LSU.
I don't know how any 21 yr put though 6 weeks of attacks by his own fans and others could have responded to the questions much better than JJ did.
It's amusing how some think they should be allowed to rant/piss and moan/make judgments/ speak their mind as much as they want, but players should just grin, bare it, and make politically correct responses to every question asked of them.

Thats a loser mentality. JJ is a winner.

Once again, how is this not a distraction?

Just when I start to come around on JJ, he goes to the media and pops his mouth off. Just keep it to yourself and focus on the games ahead in whatever role you're assigned. The sense of entitlement is unbelievable. Why should you be the automatic starter? The past 3 years on offense have been brutal for us fans to watch due mostly to your ineptness. If you don't like the situation, leave the team. You put yourself in this position.

I just never understand how JJ is so confident in interviews but so unconfident on the field. He does have serious talent but he plays scared.

You come off as an emotional, irrational head case. Grown ups can talk without labeling people "haters".
It was in response to someone saying "JJ frickers"
And I'm so emotional and irrational that I actually watch the media session and heard JJ's quotes in context before running to this board claiming he is out to destroy our program. Headcase

have you heard that bleacher report is written by amateur hacks?
Whoever writes it writes better than Guilbeau with his Journalism degree and the article makes sense.

He didn't say he needed to be a starter. He said that's a goal of his. BUT, he also said:
Whenever coach Miles gives me that opportunity to get on the field, I'm going to do what it takes to win.
And when asked about being a backup, he said:
Um, whatever's best for the team. That's what I'm going to do.
So either you people are:
1) Stupid as all get out, with zero reading comprehension.
or
2) Going to rearrange words and put words in JJ's mouth to make you feel better about yourself and fit your agenda.
or
3) both
I really hope the majority of you are trolling. You can't possibly believe the things you are posting.

I never said that, but you will read what you want. In fact, once the full interview transcript was linked, I edited the OP. Not sure if you noticed that. I have no intention to badmouth any LSU player.

His eligibility is up after the bowl game, I doubt he'll be doing that much public speaking moving forward.

I've defended JJ through the whole ordeal, but I wasn't extremely pleased with the way he handled the interview.
I just think he should have taken the high road on a few of those comments. I understand he might have a chip on his shoulder and might feel like everyone outside the team is against him, but he could have gained the respect of the fan base if he would have been more careful with his comments.
I get wanting to be the started, what else is he going to say about that? But I would have worded the following answer different.
JEFFERSON: I don't regret anything. Like I said, God puts people in certain situations for a reason. He's the only person that can control my destiny. He's the only person that knows my future. So there was judgment from a lot of people. It's not being heard from me. It's not being heard from other people. The only person that can judge me in this world is God. I don't regret any of the pain that I've been through. I don't regret anything that has happened to me. I don't regret the situation that I have been in. I learned a lot from that situation.
Its like he is bitter towards everyone and I guess you can't really blame him, but don't show it. Just approach it as if you learned from it and now moving on.
I wasn't around today to see what the rant was saying and I am sure it was getting heated, but I just wanted to throw my two cents in on this.
