They fired their basketball coach mid-season

Did you bother to find out why ?? Go look at his press conference. He went scorched earth on his entire basketball program !!!!!

I wouldn’t mind hiring Tang. He’s better than McMahon

MM only got another year because fat boy Scott wasn’t going to fire him with Wade down the road

Not only that. But that certainly played into it.

Since everyone has been civil and the coaching changes board isn't open, I figure this would be a good place to post SI top candidates for KState job since it is related to the OP but also probably a good source for more local searches. Interesting option from Murray State.

I would expect a few similar candidates on our list.

Kansas State fans went all "Old School" Saints and wore bags on their heads!

That did it. Tang was gone.

I suggest LSU fans in the PMORGUE do the same thing to hasten the McHallman departure.

There's no point in extending the mediocrity until the end of the season.

GET IT OVER WITH!

Tang’s press conference hastened it because K-State wants to try to use it for leverage in an effort to negotiate a lower buyout. It likely won’t work, but that’s why they acted now. If they waited the would have lost that argument as leverage

There are 3 home games left. Firing him before the end isn’t going to change anything, nor will it increase attendance to any meaningful degree

Pkus the decision at the end of the year has already been made. They probably have talked about it wi CMM.

If an advantage came up, they would make a move sooner. They probably have all the pieces lined up.

This is what I’m hoping.
