Hope LSU makes Kirk eat is own words and beats both of them. Especially Alabama and nickie
Kirk said bama should win the sec on paper. I don't see it. I get they are very talented, but lsu is as well and should be in that same conversation IMO.

The Ducks lost too much along their lines on both sides of the ball. I have no trouble with people picking Bama, because their defense is gonna be just plain mean and nasty. I think Oklahoma has one of the easiest paths to the title game among teams with a lot of talent.
Bama defense will be good but mean and nasty is simply speculation. 300 yds/gm is hardly nasty, but good. It's not impossible but I don't Get all the hype for a defense that gave up 300/gm and still has the same issues at NT.
As for OU, their path is hardly easy: FSU, OSU, UT, A&M, and Mizz. It's not the sec, but still not easy to get through that schedule.

Antonio , Oregon plays more than two games.
I said two big games.
LSU and Stanford.
They would be on more short list of NC teams for this reason.
Last year, I think they played one team in the Top 15 all year prior to the NC.

Everyone is still sleeping on Arkansas

Bama had 9 new starters on defense last year. I expect them to be much-improved over 2010 simply because of greater experience. The big question mark for Bama, IMO, is QB. First-year starters in the SEC usually have some rough patches.

Oregon may very well beat us Saturday night. They have a good team. But they will nto play for the NC this year. They wont even win their own division. They have road games at Stanford and Washington, and USC will be better. And while to us those games dont seem big, in the PAC-12 they are. And Oregon's defense will be piss poor. They were pitifil last year and they lost 7 guys from that defense. If we cant score at least 27 points on them, then we are in trouble.

who cares about Herbie and his predictions and his stupid award show anyway. Stop worrying about him. Predictions are meaningless, even if they pick LSU!. PLus the only reason to watch Herbie's award show the othe rnight was to watch Erin Andrews anyway!

It's an honest guess. More than anything else, he wants to be right. And, he may be. If Oregon beats LSU Saturday, and they are favored, then they have a lot easier path ahead, and may make it to the game. He's not a "douche" at all.

Sounds like he's pitting all of his duck eggs in one basket

Look at OU and Bama's schedule and compare it to ours. With no playoff system, this is not a hard prediction to make.
Couple that with the fact that we play Bama on the road. That game may already be decided for all we know.
