Hell, I got called racist tonight for saying something along the lines of Jefferson still being the better option over Lee.

I'm white. My wife is white. My kids are going to be white...I hope. Pretty sure my family and most of my friends are white.

Stupid white people!!!

Can't argue with JJ's performance being sub-par tonight and I think Lee should get a series or two to shake JJ up.

I think that's very likely gonna happen.

Can you pull up the stats from 2008 and 2009 to show how without a doubt that is?

What is the deal with some of you jokers and "Stats". The only reason that JJ had a better completion % is because the offense doesn't take intermediate to deep shots down field. The reason that they don't take those shots is because JJ is not accurate with any thing over 8-10 yards. Teams know that JJ is not accurate, so all they have to do is cheat the LB's up and play the run, and then we are really screwed. that is what teams did last year. They knew that we couldn't throw, so they played the run and therefore we had no fricking running game. JJ limits the offense, it is time to at least see what JL has. Believe me I am not saying that JL is the answer, but he has got to be able to get more out of the offense than JJ.

Even though he's never done it when given the chance?

Not to bang on Lee, but he completd one pass and handed the ball off like 6 times.

If he does start I think it would be more because of what JJ didn't do, not what JL did.

So what has JJ done to show that he can move the offense! Oh wait that's true we had a top 10 offense last year! And he is lighting the world on fire with the way he is playing this year!

Why not run an I formation offense

Why not just give this offense an IDENTITY. I formation would be fine, but picking one of the hydra head we have now would be an improvement. We are a jack of all trades, and a master at none. Right now we run a pro offense, option, spread, wildcat, power running, pistol, cluster frick. If we could narrow it down to two that would be great.

Even though it was nice to see that "1" pass from Lee, I do not think most people on here want to start Lee because of that. I think(my 2 cents) that it stems more from his improvement in spring training and fall practice scrimmages. His stats there were pretty good, not great though.

I don't care about Lee's interceptions when he was a freshman.

Thank you.

"Lee's pick 6's" is the most overused line in the history of the rant.

a.)he was a freshman
b.)have you seen how shitty our o-line has been?
c.)it's fair to criticize the interceptions but having them returned for a TD was (except for 1 case) bad luck.

This!!

I think it is time to line up in the eye once in a while and try to impose our will on teams. That poo poo option makes us look soft.

I never said he could, you quite obviously aren't comprehending very well.

This notion that Lee can't do any worse and will unquestionably be a better option is laughable. He may very well be, but we don't know that, and the odds are against him given his past.

And yes, he can without a doubt be worse, as he was just last year.

He's usually accurate on most of his passes. They're not perfect,
quote:

but he usually puts them in very catchable places
.

Three times in the first half, JJ threw the ball to RS in places where he could not catch it. The QB is supposed to deliver the ball to the receiver in such a way that the receiver can attack the defense after the catch. Too many of JJ's passes are either too high, too low, or behind the receiver. Having said that, I don't know whether JL is the answer, either. Truth of the matter, we are in a world of hurt at QB.

What Lee has or hasn't done is not the point.

WE

LOOK

LIKE

shite

ON

OFFENSE!!!!

And we have looked like shite on offense for a very long time!

We need to change things up. It's as simple as that.

Well, this looks pretty simple to me.

Considering that there isn't THAT great of separation in quality between Jefferson and Lee...

and considering that the WR's are your most explosive playmakers in the offense...

Wouldn't it make sense, then, that the QB you should use would be the QB who would be better at putting the ball in the hands of your receivers?

Jefferson put the ball into WR's hands successfully only eight times last night.

The choice should be clear.

I am less concerned about the likelihood of turnovers than I am about the likelihood of taking our offense off of the field due to ineffectiveness.
