I've seriously tried it before too. I was playing poker with a fellow fan a couple of weeks ago and we got on the subject of LSU and Les.
This guy said he didn't like Les. I asked why. His answer? "I just don't like him"
I asked him if he realized Les was one of the most winningest LSU coaches ever? I asked him if he thought Les wasn't a good recruiter? I asked him to give me one good reason...
He just doesn't like him.
How do you argue with that logic? It's best not to ask.

Les Miles is driving this program into the ground
If you watched the LSU/UK game in 2007 and Arky in 2008 and don't question Leslies coaching ability , I really doubt you have been following the game long . Don't confuse recruiting with coaching .
Yeah, wow...two bad games in four years by your standards. get real, guess you had your head up your arse for the florida game and the other 43 he has won. some people are just freakin' stupid.

Yeah, boy, if ONLY we could have hired Dennis Erickson, Houston Nutt, Mike Price, or some other GREAT coach, just think how much better off the program would be.

watch what happens if we lose 2 games next year
And heaven help us if Jarrett Lee actually starts that game.

Don't confuse recruiting with coaching .
Miles recruits awesomely, coaches very well, and manages a program incredibly well. As a result of those things, plus everything else involved in coaching college football that he does well, he is one of the most (if not the most) successful coaches in college football since his arrival at LSU.
The success tells its own story. Whenever anyone starts cherrypicking particular games to suit their point, it pretty much conclusively disproves the validity of that point.

It's human nature to point out the bad and ignore the good. He makes a boneheaded decision every once in awhile sure, but you know what? Today at work I turned a projector off and unplugged it before it could cool off and the bulb exploded. Bulb's pretty damn expensive so it's safe to say I fricked up. OP, are you perfect at your job everyday? If so let's get Miles' arse to Michigan and get you coaching.

You want to know what is sad. These freaking idiotic anti-Miles people have the right to vote! Scary thought, huh.
The ONLY mistake Miles made was on the defensive side coach wise this past season and he has fixed that in spades!

Everyone is quick to jump on my arse . I think Miles is great character guy . A good enough manager , he just has made boneheaded decisions when it comes to game time decisions . Don't mistake this for wanting anything bad to ever happen with anything LSU .
The two games mentioned earlier are two glaring examples not the only examples . I hope all of you are right and he kicks much arse for years to come . He certainly has recuited the talent to do so . I just have not seen the player development in recent years .

Gentlemen, the real question is whether or not Miles can win with his own players, when no lingering vestige of our previous coach remains, who taught those leftover from his regime about discipline and details. Give it two years; we'll see.
Kidding, of course.

Don't tell me our LSU coach haters are proven wrong again--amazing!

To the negative LSU fans that are never happy. Most of you would love to have Saban back, but you were the ones bitching about his tactics when he was here. Some of you talk about player development under Miles. What? Players stay and finish their career at LSU. LSU Football throughout it's history has been a roller coaster ride. Under Miles LSU has never enjoyed this much consistancy. Last year LSU was 8-5 and is considered a "Bad Year". With 4 straight "Blow Out Wins" in bowl games (which LSU has never enjoyed before) we will just have to see what 2009 has instore for the LSU Football Program. My bet is that Les will have the TIGERS in the running for another SEC title and maybe beyond.
Buz (Why don't you Nay-Sayers go pull for TULANE)

this recruiting class was absolutely deplorable, I'm ashamed of Les, he's taking us back to the dark days.
