Why couldnt he have just said, "The windy weather caused some Inclompete long throws today."
because that is not what he meant...

The problem around here is most of the posters only have a game knowledge of football. They know the rules and only watch football from an end result standpoint (the games). They have no idea what it takes to get the team to that point. For that reason they see everyting in black and white. Everyting is either a complete failure or success. They don't understand how Miles can say a play had good execution when the end result was not a complete pass. The coaches are looking at lots of things on a play between the snap of the ball and the WR making a catch that will go a long way into the success of the team next year.

Miles needs to give it a rest. His blatant attempts to refrain from using negative connotations like "lost" and "incomplete".....well, it's just embarrassing.....like someone struggling to sound smarter than they really are.

The problem is with the way he said it.
Why is that a problem?
It is sooooooo small minded to discuss 'how' someone says something, versus what they say or more improtantly, what they do.
I have addressed large audiences hundreds of times; its not easy but to do it impromptu with tons of questions and criticism being thrown at you can make anyone 'sound' crazy at times, so what!
Frankly, I love it. It makes him interesting, quotable and for the small minded; hard to understand.

Jesus Christ...not this shite again. My 5 year old niece would have understood what he meant.
Serious question....are some of you retarded?

an incomplete is a failed pass play
If this quote was from Miles, it would have been posted in 5 different threads by now.

Les is in Midseason form with the excuses
He'll need to stay in that form for the 2010 season

We have 5 or more threads here a week asking the same silly BS, but Miles is the one who needs to give it a rest...go figure.

It was a scrimmage. He has nothing to make an excuse about. He wasn't responding to a question about completion percentage.
He was describing the scrimmage...the things he saw as positive. And, he came away with the impression that we were making progress running the ball, and making progress throwing it downfield. He elaborated to describe the conditions they were facing and how he saw good execution even though the wind played a part in the result.
IMO, it shows a lack of intelligence when someone approaches every one of Miles' comments and tries to twist them into something negative rather than focusing of the merits of what is actually being said.

So what you are telling us, is that you are not smart enough to understand coach speak. I understood him perfectly. Maybe it is you who has a problem. Can you get back into a good school?

You have got to be kidding me buddy.
He is the laughing stock of the SEC because of the comments he makes, not to mention his very questionable coaching and knowledge of football.
That is a Fact Jack.

This actually sounds as if you don't like Les.

He actually writes Nancy Pelosi's speeches as well.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He's a consultant to Glen Beck. "America, I've wasted your time".
I recently heard BHoBama, in a speech say, "Aks" instead of Ask?
Surley, Tig-n-Atl, you can give Les a break.

I think Miles is very effective in his use of language.
He is creative and descriptive.
I dont think the players have any trouble getting the message.
I realize that some of it seems to be avoiding being negative, but he is positive without being maudlin.
I think he is fun.
And I am delighted with the emphasis on the running game.

I wonder why Urban Meyer, Saban, Spurrier, and on and on are never as misunderstood as Less?
To listen to some of the posters on here, what we have on our hands is just a misunderstood genius in a headcoach. LMFAO.

good new Milesism. The "I have a want" and "coming in second" were getting old and cold.
