Loading up non conference games for the first 4-5 games a year to go 6-0 and then blow the season every year is not good coaching.
Coaches get paid to win conference games not non conference...check his conference record for the last 5 years....

Miles was a successful coach by any metric. I don't have to "believe" anything. Facts are facts. Even most of the people that hated him agree he was successful. You would have to be a retard not to agree with that.
It was his time to go but to down play his accomplishments is pointless and makes someone really look stupid.

And how many frickin teams was knocking at Ed Orgeron's door to be HC? Without LSU he is not a HC anywhere. I was a fan of the LSU firing Les, but bad mouthing Les is trashy. The guy has represented LSU admirably, even after his firing.

The first year of the AP poll was 1936. In the history of the AP poll LSU has 9 top 5 finishes, Les Miles has 3 of those in addition to 3 other top 10 finishes. In what universe is that no successful?

They want a NC every year... which will not happen... the worst thing to happen to young LSU fans was the 2003 NC.... they have become the worst fan base in the country since that year....

Well.... he was pretty successful at LSU
Now towards the end it wasn't
It was time to move on but its a bit absurd to completely down play or just blink your eyes towards what he accomplished.
Its also extremely difficult to maintain that success, I look at all these top coaches in the country this year who are having extremely rough years. Les may have dropped some at the end of the season but it was never anywhere near losing season bad at all.
