its so frustrating. I mean, I doubt they would have scored 51 or anything... But either way, I said before the game if we could score 24, we'd win. I had no idea we would score 3.

they ran mostly dive plays. wasn't exactly a tebow type game plan.
It's the same offense they've run all year. It had nothing to do with Tebow's concussion. Dan Mullen took his Utah/UF playbook to MSU homey.

No they weren't. That's the offense they run this year. Even the Florida fans will tell you that.
ok

So,if Meyer was so convinced Florida would win with a vanilla game plan, why did he keep Tebow in the entire game and have him run up the middle and throw deep in the fourth quarter ?
No,the defense didn't "shut Florida down" and play on defense like the 1982 Alabama game. But LSU "fans" refusing to give LSU's defense any credit in the Florida game are just dumb.

well he didn't... was it to protect Tebow? Was it because he didn't have to? whatever the reason... the defense also didn't exactly help in the field position battle with the "bend and take it in the arse" but don't break style.

I figured at some point we would have a no offensive touchdown game especially with how we have performed all year so far however I thought that our team would be too hyped and prepared to let it happen against UF.....I was wrong about that

it was just a poorly coached game. poorly executed game. everything. I don't see Crowton at LSU very much longer. You can't win with the grab bag offense he has now. We have playmakers all over. He needs to get back to the KISS offense. Keep It Simple, Stupid.

Let's not forget we held them to 13 points
No one else has done that.
Who is complaining about our defense?

Florida was running an extremely conservative offense.

I said this exact same thing to my girlfriend after the game....of course she didn't have a clue who Crowton was but thats another story

they snapped it 19 times before tebow ran the ball. he is 2nd all time in the sec in rushing touchdowns. of course the game plan was adjusted due to the concussion.

Oh, I know. It was obvious they were protecting him and Urban knew we couldn't score.
Did Tebow really rush 17 times?

Hard for me to accept this as a moral victory. LSU had climbed to the top tier of programs this decade and is being mentioned along with only USC and Florida as team of the decade. We should have been able to fix our offensive woes before the 6th game of the season with #1 coming to our turf on Saturday night. It was a very poor offensive showing on our part, and Florida could have scored at least 2 more field goals (one was missed, one they unsuccessfully went for short yardage on 4th down in field goal range instead of going for 3).
After 2 titles this decade -- tied with Florida in that aspect -- it's hard to watch a team full of offensive talent not producing as they should. For those that simply state it was because we were playing against the #1 defense, I guess this is where we've slipped back to in our expectations. When we play Bama and Florida, "Look how close we kept it!" Are we satisfied being 3rd best in our conference (if that high), or should we expect (demand from our coaching staff earning huge salaries)to be a national title contender with the recruits brought in here every year now?

JYD, seriously, get a clue man. Tebow ran the ball many, many times. They went for it on 4th down and failed-- twice.
LSU's defensive secondary is that good. With any offense, we could have beaten them. And UF has the #1 defense in the nation. And it's not even close.
If LSU craps out against Auburn, then you have a gripe.

And they had two drives, and scored three points.
We then drove down the field qand tied it up.
Seriously, aheek, are you that deluded?
